You can bet Sky will show one of the day night County matches

Another change

White ball cricket returns with the the Royal London One-Day cup taking a new position in the first half of the season, with a final on July 1.

The knockout stages have changed this season, with only the top three from each group qualifying.

The winners will progress straight to the semi finals on June 16 and 17, in which they will enjoy home advantage.

Their opposition will be determined by two play-offs on June 13 between the teams finishing second and third in each group – second in the North Group at home to third in the South, and vice versa.

The annual Colchester Cricket Festival has been called off for 2017 due to no fixture there for 3 months in the middle of summer.

Really ? Wow. You must be one of the very few people in the country who don't have ITV4.

Interesting that the Windies will be here for tests late August/September, test series against them in England are usually in May. T20 Finals Day is later than usual too.

I think he was being sarcastic because virtually all cricket is behind a paywall now.

Aaaand the prize for seeing the most blatently obvious subtext in a post goes to........

FFS do I have to spell it out, there is no live England cricket or home based trophy on Freeview or Freesat at all these days and has not been for years. So for someone who refuses to line the pockets of the Aussie paperboy, cricket ended years ago.

Will Ch 5 highlights be continuing for some matches or will ITV4 be the only source? Also, I recall Pick, I think it was, being used for the highlights of one test series a couple of years ago.

LIVE live, for pities sake I qualified my statement.

I've never been a cricket fan, but when the sport has been so monopolised by the paytv platform for LIVE coverage for so long is it any wonder it has virtually disappeared from some people's thoughts of sport.

As for highlights, what do you get an hour or half an hour of a full day's play? Hardly worth bothering with.

Not English cricket admittedly but you will get some free live Big Bash matches on BT Sport Showcase this season.

You normally get an hour (less adverts) which show all the main activity. Don't forget that in a cricket match there are often long periods of quite routine play, so compressing it into one hour makes it better for the interested, but non-obsessed, viewer.

Yes beginning Nov 2017.
Not got the dates yet. Think they are still debating a D/N test.

My nephew and his friends have no clue about the sport of cricket as their families cannot afford a sports subscription. A large chunk of their generation are growing up never having watched live cricket on TV.

Now people may think that means nothing, but if kids grow up not interested then the sport will decline more than it has already

The sport has more money in it but the majority of the England players names will be unknown to many due to it being on satellite/cable tv.

We live in a world where only a few 'club' games are shown live on 'fta' tv now. Pretty sure the fans of the sport know the footballers involved still....
