EE Bin gate
Someone actually mentioned yesterday on this Morning SOC is trying to use a lighter approach to EastEnders and less drama. The bin gate is the perfect example trying to get everyone to work together and the audience to enjoy it. Sadly that is so 90s I remember a similer storyline back in 96 not given my age away lol. But the council was doing something about the school and cindys kid got knocked over and everyone was getting together to do something about it Loraine cindy Carol Peggy Kathy etc. It worked then because times were different it was the 90s there was less hate etc. In todays world Bin gate just don't work its not the 90s anymore people cant take it seriously. If SOCS vision is basically the whole community feel I really don't think it will work. I might be wrong but I'm not sure hes with the times. LN tried that and we all know how that turned out.

I agree. I think that instead of the big story grabbing headlines like explosions, murders and car crashes, the EPs are trying to have more community and mundane day to day storylines which is cheaper and low maintenance. I'm sure that there is a budgetary motivator here. I understand this and think it will work to a point but it runs the risk of being too dull and viewers won't bother to watch over a longer period.

Well if it involves more of Whit dressing up in scanty underwear and having Lee mount her, I won't be complaining.

Gormless Shaki. With Kyle out of the picture, the terminally pained Stacey will be poking her nose even more into the on-off sexual frisson with Bex and I wish someone would tell her to sod off.
