I would love to see Jim Carrey and Leonardo DiCaprio in a film together . I think Leo has shown he can do humour in Wolf of Wall Street and others, plus Carrey is a master of the comedy . Perhaps not a screwball comedy like Dumb and Dumber but something a little more nuanced . Does anyone have any more suggestions?

With all the remakes, I wouldn't be surprised if they were both cast in a remake of Planes Trains and Automobiles

A film with Liam Neeson and Jason Statham pissing about in the wilderness would be good, I'd call the film "GRRRFFF"

John Travolta and Wesley Snipes.
Add Nicolas Cage cheese and you got a masterclass of acting. |

I'll focus on male actors:
Daniel Day Lewis and Meryl Streep. Incredible that these two Very Serious About Acting actors still haven't appeared in a film together yet. Laurence Fishburne and Denzel Washington. Dustin Hoffman and Al Pacino never appeared in a film together, I think. Hoffman apparently can't stand Pacino because of the Penelope Ann Miller thing. Tom Hanks and Kevin Kline. Samuel L. Jackson and Morgan Freeman. Robert Duvall and Ryan Gosling. Inspired by this actors' roundtable: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_59dVv5aQlw I would list a few more with Gene Hackman, but he's retired since 2004. /crying |

Al Pacino and Michael Caine. I'd like to see them in something together. Also, Robert De Niro and Michael Caine.

I always thought that Steve Martin and Harrison Ford would have made good brothers.

A slightly cheat here but I'd love to see Scorsese direct Al Pacino. Yes their best days are long behind both of them, but I'd imagine that could inspire a late rally.

I don't know if they were ever in anything together, but Fred Thompson, of Law & Order, could easily have passed for Kelsey Grammer's dad, or older brother.

Jack Nicholson and Christian Slater, who has copied him his whole career, as father and son.

Sean Bean and Idris Elba - Don't think they've been in the same film
Evangline Lily and Tom Hardy - Random I know but I really like both actors Al Pacino and Clint Eastwood - The Old Guards could make for an interesting combination. Jason Statham and Michael Caine - They both voiced characters in Gnomeo and Juliet but I'm not counting that as it was animated |
