Budget cut. No longer a linear channel. But produces shows like Class. |

I remember it but I don't miss it. I hardly ever watched anything on there and I'm in the target demographic for the channel.

Went on the BBC Three site a few weeks ago!
Reminded me of the mess that DS front page has become and promptly left. If they offer anything half decent, i'll see it on the iPlayer front page but the Three site is a joke |

The EPG slot for BBC3 SD has been kept on Virgin Media (106).
When selected it shows a slate with the red button, which I think is a good idea. What happened to the slot on satellite and Freeview? I never use it though, as I always assume that anything of interest will probably surface on BBC1 or BBC2. |

EPG jumps from 6 to 8 on Freeview.
BBC One HD replaced it on Sky Channel 115. |

I thought this thread was a joke at first as it's not like it's even been a year since BBC3 moved online!
It was better as a channel in the early days when they let it run free with original shows like Being Human and before it turned into the Family Guy channel in the end Although I'm still watching Class through BBC3 on Iplayer but it's sad that it was forced online! |

I never use it though, as I always assume that anything of interest will probably surface on BBC1 or BBC2. Freeview was a source of contention with Digital UK consulting on what would happen to LCN 7 once BBC THREE closed - eventually Local TV stations would occupy LCNs 7 and 8, in between ITV2 and BBC FOUR. It also had a knock on effect on other LCNs being freed up. BBC Three was a great channel, particularly when it excelled at hilarious comedy and documentaries such as Bad Education, Cuckoo and the like. Sadly it along with BBC FOUR neutered out what made BBC TWO distinctive, which is actually benefitting as a result of the THREE online move. |

Personally with the repeats on BBC 4 I would have that channel co exist 3/4.
So maybe 4 Monday to Thursday and 3 Friday to Sunday, and lovers of each can catch up on IPlayer. |
