Which means that guess work was involved, if you're saying you're basing what you think on what you saw. Which we know was a very small edit compared to what would have transpired during the day.
If we're basing it on what we saw then we'd have to also acknowledge that Martin had been out doing the task for half of the day. Which begs the question why he was getting grief instead of Adam? They had a choice there. They weren't compelled to single out Martin for such treatment and let Adam off the hook.
If they showed restraint when it came to Adam you have to ask why Martin wasn't afforded that same luxury too, especially as he had been away from the camp for a long period of time winning food for the group.
