Can you provide a link or anything further please? The more I hear about Danny the less I realise I know about him.
He hasn't done anything in recent days. Suspect there is a whole load of folks getting very few votes. It'll swing around depending how much they are featured in a particular episode.

People always make it about "oh this and this", "oh young people vote", "oh, the app vote is unfair", "oh they need to have proper phonelines to make it fair". Stop making excuses. The reason is because he was not liked and his airtime was low. That's it.

I don't think it's manipulation. He said it, if they hadn't shown it, would be obvious protection. You can't edit something that isn't there. You can leave stuff out, you can't add stuff in unless production forced him to say it.

Not a coincidence considering they had only known when the 1st public vote was 24 hours before, so he couldn't have said it at any other time. He could have only said it in last nights HLs because from the moment they were told to the actual first eviction, there was only a day. If anything, it would have been more manipulated had they closed the lines BEFORE he said it.
Either way, it's a stupid thing to say anyway. It's his fault for saying it, not the producers for showing it.

I think that would be true if it were a vote to evict - 'Grrr, let's show that smug person by voting him out'.
But to 'get rid' of him you'd have to vote for a good few of the others to keep them all safe.
I just don't think he got enough of the votes. Though I'm amazed he left over Carol (not that I dislike her - or any of them).

In a Vote to Save, you'd need to vote the 7 others to ensure one goes. That's long. And a waste of money if you wanted to get someone out. In a VTS it all depends on:
1. Amount of airtime
2. Likeability
3. Your fanbase
In a VTE, you can be the most famous person in the world but if you're an a-hole, you'll go even if you have 5 billion fans.

I don't think it has to be an excuse or a complaint - just an opinion.
One I tend to agree with - I think Danny's fans will be older rather than younger.
I agree with you that it was down to low air time and him not being very popular. I would guess that it was pretty neck and neck between him and people like Carol and Lisa.
But I don't think Danny is someone you take to immediately. It takes a while to appreciate his qualities. He comes across as initially brash and cartoon like, his intelligence and wit isn't always what you immediately notice, but he is also very warm and generous and will be missed by the camp probably a lot more than he will be missed by the viewers.

The comment was directed at those who have kicked up a fuss, Twitter for example (seems that Danny did have a decent amount of young fans too!).
I personally voted Martin and Joel. I'm in my 20s, but voted Martin. And I know a lot of people did because they feel his treatment is unfair (a lot of Adam dislike among young people too), but that is never looked into. People seem to have a very black and white opinion on voting patterns that ages stick to support campmates in their age range.
According to bookies, the likes of Martin and Larry are much higher up than Jordan and Sam (younger ones).
IAC is a very young demo viewed show but like i said, a lot of older people have won.

Absolutely. As the first person on this thread to mention the app, I'm a little bemused as how a passing opinion is being seen as 'making excuses', 'ageist' or 'trying to start an argument' - I'm no spring chicken and I use the app myself but my view is pretty much the same as yours, fans of Danny and Carol are more likely to be older and possibly less likely to multi vote.
I'm also sure people like Sam and Jordan will go fairly early as well due to being quieter and not well known as individuals prior to the show.

I would say that fan bases would generally be people of a similar age to the contestant, but once the show is underway, everything is movable. I imagine Martin is picking up a lot of votes for the same reason you voted for him.

If you read my comment I made after, the comment was not directed at anyone on this thread but those on Twitter and Facebook that screamed FIX (shock horror). I have seen a lot of "people under 30 should not be voting! App votes is such a fix, no wonder oldies never do well", i think that's pathetic.
It's opt difficult to use app votes. They are free. If the older viewers think it's unfair, that's their fault, they can easily match the "younger" votes. Everyone gets 5 free app votes. Everyone does. Not just the younger people. Download the app, it takes 40 seconds. It takes 1 second to vote. It's an simple playing field. Those complaining have probably never voted in their life.
Also "fans" doesn't always mean similar ages. For example, I am a big fan of Shalamar and a lot of 70s music, I'm not over 50 though.

I honestly don't think Martin is picking up votes from HUTH watchers - it isn't the kind of show that develops a fan-base - the properties and what is done with them are the stars of that show. Martin is one of the few who are picking up his votes because of his generally nutty (but as far as I'm concerned - nice and harmless - and funny) antics in IAC.
