They weren't. Danny had the least votes, but Carol could have topped them.

It's called an opinion - You know, like the one you just expressed.

I'm a fan, but he doesn't really fit the demographic of the ITV1 audience.

Still, he gets his fee in full and spends the rest of the series staying in a plush hotel.

From his point of view, it couldn't really have worked out better.

Stop blaming voting methods and young viewers and who they vote. Young viewers do not only like young campmates, old viewers don't always like older campmates.

There's always an excuse. If you don't vote, don't complain. "too many young people use the app". So? How about people download the FREE app and make 5 FREE votes.

Age has nothing to do with it. Historically older campmates win IAC. Does that mean ONLY old viewers voted for them? No.

Always an excuse to start an ageist argument. I bet had a woman gone, sexism would have been brought up.”

I think you make a very worthwhile point.
When people reduce other people down to simply being some aspect of their group demographic they dismiss them as individuals and don't see them as individuals in their own right.
I think that over the past year in hindsight we can see what a huge mistake that is when you consider what projected polls and expert pundits conclude based on this very narrow shortsighted way of looking at people.

And don't think I'm having a pop at anyone either, I'll have been guilty of doing this from time to time too.
We fall into the trap in thinking old people will prefer old people, that young people will prefer young people, and so on. Sometimes we may be right when speaking about averages as we may tend to have more affinity with what we deem to be more similar to ourselves perhaps. But people are a bit more complex than that and don't see each other as things like an analytical model on a spreadsheet would.

I personally voted Martin and Joel. I'm in my 20s, but voted Martin. And I know a lot of people did because they feel his treatment is unfair (a lot of Adam dislike among young people too), but that is never looked into. People seem to have a very black and white opinion on voting patterns that ages stick to support campmates in their age range.

According to bookies, the likes of Martin and Larry are much higher up than Jordan and Sam (younger ones).

IAC is a very young demo viewed show but like i said, a lot of older people have won.”

Yes, I wonder how relevant age really is when people watch shows like this. Of course with first impressions you acknowledge superficial things like how old somebody appears, but when you start getting involved in the narrative, the drama, and the dynamic shifts perhaps all that melts away and you just see people as characters.

I'm 46 myself and have the app, though didn't vote but surely you accept that multiple app voting is more prevalent with younger people?”

'Sigh' I took the comment as it was made, that younger people are more likely to vote using the app. I don't think that's true.

Older people are more likely to use free voting in my opinion.

He was probably first out because he is an annoying little man who likes the sound of his own voice far too much and thinks he knows everything about everything.

My view entirely - he knows exactly how to play the whole game, and he's hoping to be credited with ensuring Scarlett wins which he can do more efficiently on the outside

He is simply unlikable. There's a reason why he's rarely seen on telly and his age has nothing to do with it.

You obviously don't watch QI, HIGNFY, GBBO, numerous BBC4 programmes, not bad for someone who is mainly a writer and radio personality.

Obviously and he's far from being thick or ill educated. Just wish I could actually like him a bit more. Although that did improve with this show.

And a few days in the sun in a nice hotel thrown in, what's not to love?
Without the immunities he certainly wouldn't have gone either.
