Stop blaming voting methods and young viewers and who they vote. Young viewers do not only like young campmates, old viewers don't always like older campmates.
There's always an excuse. If you don't vote, don't complain. "too many young people use the app". So? How about people download the FREE app and make 5 FREE votes.
Age has nothing to do with it. Historically older campmates win IAC. Does that mean ONLY old viewers voted for them? No.
Always an excuse to start an ageist argument. I bet had a woman gone, sexism would have been brought up.”
I think you make a very worthwhile point.
When people reduce other people down to simply being some aspect of their group demographic they dismiss them as individuals and don't see them as individuals in their own right.
I think that over the past year in hindsight we can see what a huge mistake that is when you consider what projected polls and expert pundits conclude based on this very narrow shortsighted way of looking at people.
And don't think I'm having a pop at anyone either, I'll have been guilty of doing this from time to time too.
We fall into the trap in thinking old people will prefer old people, that young people will prefer young people, and so on. Sometimes we may be right when speaking about averages as we may tend to have more affinity with what we deem to be more similar to ourselves perhaps. But people are a bit more complex than that and don't see each other as things like an analytical model on a spreadsheet would.
