It is a bit of an essay! 😀 I've tried to find a pic of when she was in CS but couldn't seem to, I think she looks much nicer with grey hair.

Yea she was born with it and they did bring it into the story line it wasnt something that you could ignore really. She asked Don Brenan who was married to Ivy (Gails mother in law} about the loss of his leg.

Ah right (I've obviously missed whole chunks of CS in the past!). Would someone with that problem have been able to be a hairdresser, realistically I wonder (not that realism seems to bother CS much lately but I didn't always think this).
She also competed in Celebrity Masterchef a few series ago.

I can imagine so tbh, I believe all soap actors bring something of their own nature to their characters and she's been quite grumpy in both soaps hasn't she.

Why not? People with disabilities find ways of doing things.
Some born with no arms or legs drive specially adapted cars. People with no hands use their feet instead. Blind people type.

Sigh. Before you jump on that wagon, I merely wondered. Maybe she also had specially adapted scissors, or she didn't need to use that hand (I don't even remember which hand it is or if she's left or right handed). I watched a man with no arms paint an amazing picture using a brush with his feet and mouth so know how adaptable people with disabilities can be - nothing to see here.

Even bigger sigh. She was born with a condition that causes her fingers to twist and cross. It;s her right hand so she's obviously been left handed all her life and would use left-handed scissors. There's be no reason why she couldn't do thing that didn't require precision with her dodgy hand. I speak as someone who has some disability of the hands and it's only things like trying to thread a sewing needle that cause me real problems..
