Martin is really not that bad! .
Not that bad? He's brilliant, for me he is the reason to carry on watching.

Not only is he weird and eccentric, he can take abuse and criticism well - and even laugh about it.

We will have to agree to disagree. I'd class that as sarcasm - not passive aggression.
We'll only have to half disagree then as I'd class it as both - I think sarcasm is often a way of being passive aggressive, as is sulking and resisting requests from others, all of which we've seen Martin do. Just my opinion and I respect yours

I must disagree, although most on here think he is wonderful. I think he is showing his true self, very selfish and whilst he can dish it out when he is in charge, when the tables are turned he doesn't like it at all! But, he was obviously brought in to cause trouble, the rest of the camp mates were all getting on too well.

I would describe him as petulant rather than passive aggressive although you're right that his infantile sulking and refusal to respond with grace to requests is a form of passive aggression. But I think petulance is his driving force.

It may not fit in this one example, but he absolutely has been passive aggressive at other times - during his solo trial when replying to Ant & Dec's comments, for example.
Heaven forbid anyone should have a barbed comment to make at the poor man's Morecambe & Wise. I love it when he answers those two back.

If there are ever two people who can dish it out but can't take it - its none other than Ant & Dec! Especially Ant (he is the prat on the left isn't he?)

He's a complete tool, his family must be embarrassed, the sooner he goes the better.
To be totally honest I don't think I've ever met someone that age who acts so immature and child like... I agree his family must be embarrased.

He appears to me to be mentally challenged , so i hope he does go soon because otherwise I can see his time on there becoming quite sad. He certainly isn't funny in the slightest but the longer he is kept in by the public he will see this as a green light to up his game as he will think he's so entertaining. Unfortunately he is being laughed at and not with.

I can see him doing something so stupid that could see him being kicked out to be honest.

What a nasty post!

He isn't mentally challenged. Maybe some nasty people who don't like him, are laughing at him! A lot of people are laughing with him. He was hilarious the other night.

He's damned annoying a lot of the time but that's way below the belt.

His wife seemed far from embarrassed, she was laughing about his typical babyish behaviour. They'll be laughing and enjoying a free break in a luxury hotel and all the way to the bank.
He appears to have been made to grown up a little at last and he's accepted that he's been aggressive and insulting. Who knows, if it continues perhaps her need to mother him will be challenged.

I honestly didn't mean this in a nasty way as I feel for him in there as his behaviour is affecting the others..I just worry it's all going to go too far.

Please accept my apologies if this has offended..I really didn't mean it in that way ..I do aplogise....

Thanks for the apology love.

I think he's learned now that it won't be tolerated or at least I hope he has!

Well he would probably enjoy it! He certainly enjoyed throwing water at Adam. There's nothing 'passive' about it. I really wish people would stop using buzz phrases to denigrate someone when the label doesn't fit at all.

Totally agree. That particular remark is so far off the mark as to be laughable. Martin is one of the most direct people ever to have been on the show. Love him or loathe him, passive aggressive he is not.

I love him.

I don't think he's a bad guy, but he can be quite annoying at times. It was really nice how he guided Scarlett through the Dingo Dollar challenge when she had to go under the water. He kept her calm. I think he is essentially harmless.

Larry Lamb aside, all the camp mates seem to like him, and they live with him 24/7 - so that says a lot.

I think he's all right.
If he has any failing it would be that he might whinge a bit if he's pissed off with something.
It's not his fault that he wasn't there at the start and wasn't on message that they were playing all that happy families shit before he got in there.
His occasional whinge from time to time makes me see him as more authentic.
On the whole he seems like quite a nice fella.

I wonder if he has an undetected social and communication disorder - the campmates have said that he isn't nasty and what he does isn't with malice but he's been described as odd and strange and it seems that he doesn't know how to behave with other people and is inappropriate in social situations.

Have to agree with this. Although I find Martin's moaning and whingeing annoying - he is actually showing his true self, petulance and all, while a lot of his campmates seem to be on their very best behaviour. I think he's a spoiled, rather charmless bloke with little man syndrome - but at least he's being himself and for that I applaud him.

Martin's hilarious! He went in there all aggressive, then admitted he thought that's what people did on I'm a Celeb - so then he just started being himself!! He reminds me of 'Tim, nice but dim". Larry Lamb is a bit of a bully. A control freak, I think. He practically tells everyone what to think. I loved it when Martin was trying to get a rebellion going, and loathed the way Larry totally dismissed him. For goodness same, Martin just wants to have fun! He creased me up when he was King, a megalomanic in the making!!

I have to respectfully disagree. There was one point he snapped at them (he actually was interrupting Ant/Dec's advice, so I think they were supporting him to begin with). He said things like "thanks for that" with an obviously annoyed tone which I would certainly class as passive aggressive. Then when he was in the water bit at the end, he just talked a lot of nonsense.

I think he just lacks a lot of self awareness and is probably quite entitled. I do think he has learnt that to an extent by being in there, though, as Danny Baker touched on in his exit interview.
They were not supporting him they were stating the obvious, which is why he answered the way he did.

I like him there is nothing wrong with being a little bit different

I'm glad Martin is in there as he's getting the honest feedback about his narcissism and self importance that has clearly been lacking all his life. It isn't a very pleasant experience being around someone who belittles you and constantly has to be right in order to make themselves feel better. If anyone shows characteristic traits of a bully it's Martin.

Martin hasn't belittled anyone. Larry's the one going around dictating to Martin how he should behave.

You are not being 'passive aggressive' by any chance? You sound like Martin when he has been bollocked.
