Carol volunteering to partner Martin in the place for the banquet
Brummy Girl

She didn't have to do that. It goes against the grain of most people on here saying that the majority of the camp are bullying Martin.

She had the pick of the rest of the non-royals but said to Martin "I'll partner you". Did she do this as she thought nobody else would want to do it or that Martin was so desperate to get a banquet she thought she stood half a chance of winning?

In the end Martin barely moved from his spot during the game but was funny with it with the polystyrene boulders hitting him left, right and centre.

It was very nice of her. She knew he might not be picked. She wanted to spare him the embarrassment.

I thought it was lovely. Carol seems like a lady. Lisa and Carol are my favourites this year but, unfortunately, the producers don't agree.

I'd say because she's kind, generous, a good sport and doesn't take things too seriously.

She's a good sport with a good sense of humour..
I'm sure she picked Martin to save his feelings because she knew no-one else would and she knows how to handle him.

I think she's just given up having seen the way it's all being driven,

It was. She is a decent, kind hearted woman.

They don't get to see the show or the extra show or have any contact with the outside world.

I really like Carol. She's funny and is a smart cookie - not just with maths! I loved her comments about hoping Martin wins.

I do think Carol is naturally a mature, thoughtful, kind person and it showed when she picked Martin.

I agree. It's a pity he didn't do anything to help her win with him in their task which he deliberately messed up rather than risking trying and failing.
Although there's little doubt, she wouldn't expect anything else from him.

thats nonsense, just why would he do that?.. what would be the motive?

edit - oh its you, so there will be no rational post from you regarding martin.

Out of all the Celebs in the Jungle, Carol would be the one I would like on my team. Never understood the initial dislike of her - a proper Lady.
Would be sad to see her leave early.

I can't see Carol just sitting around doing nothing. It's the annoying edit stopping us seeing what everybody is up to.

As far as we know This infernal editing again!
I would think [ my opinion only ] that Carol would be quite a strong character behind the scenes, possibly the 'Go To' female for all the younger ones, a voice of reason too?
She has done well in any trial she has participated in....... shame she is one of the ''Unseen'' this year.

To say she's done nothing simply isn't true. Carol hasn't been alone in being excluded from the extremely tedious producers inanity of using a chosen few and which they insist on doing to death every year

Nor from you it would seem and not only when it's Martin
