Hear, hear - me too.
Unfortunately the more I see of Judge Rinder, the less I enjoy what he does. The whole 'my teacher' thing is getting on my last nerve now, whereas I thought it was a sweet thing to say the first time he said it, and his facial expressions are some of the weirdest I've ever seen on the show. What the hell was that expression he was pulling throughout the whole of the Rumba? It was like an open mouthed smile but he managed to make it extremely pained at the same time. He's got a background in acting but I'm never convinced of his performances. And yet Claudia gets comments about how she needs to connect with the dance more, and yet she has far more performance skills than Rinder (in my opinion) who is only a teen and doesn't come from an acting background.
And I also can't abide it when he pulls a face and looks across to the audience (presumably for re-assurance) every time he gets negative comments (this usually comes from Craig). It's just like everything is a (not very convincing) performance from him, rather than just being his real self.
Sorry, didn't mean to turn it into a bit of a JR mini-rant
