Hi folks
NicPlays

Hoping some members of the regular panel show up

Right then, Jakk and John aren't here, but I have their stuff, but with Julie and Danyal, I only have their scores and no comments. Hopefully they show up soon

Up first, it's Julie's last remaining girl. Performing er highest scoring performance which earned her a pretty impressive 25.5, it's Emily Middlemas!

Complete and utter perfection which is exactly what a final should be! You didn't just defy gravity, you defied the whole audience. 10/10

The problem here Emily is that this performance is wayyyyy to theatrical for you and you're not that type of singer, you're much more of a quirky singer than OTT theatre singer. On top of that I've heard a billion other people cover both of the songs so you literally don't stand out at all. Your mentor came in last minute so this isn't really their fault its just a bit unlucky that this is "classed" as your best performance score wise when you've had so much better. 3/10

This was you at one of your better performances but it lacks connection heart and feeling there was nothing behind it and for me you’re the weakest in the final.

I'm a sucker for both of these songs so it was like a dream merging them. What stops it being a perfect 10/10 for me is the niggling feeling I get that this isn't really you as an artist. But good job. 8/10.

I didn't like this the first time around but I LOVED it this time, I don't know what happened, you have much energy this time and your vocals were much better, well done.

3/10- really?

I hate sometimes how theatrical songs are just put under one bracket. Musical Theatre can be any type of song- it's about the way that they tell the story and I found this so believable and passionate.

That wasn't great for Emily, going down by 4.5, only earning 21.0.

Hoping for better luck is Tamera Foster. She's been bottom of the leaderboard the most, as well as garnering the most 0's, but has turned it around in recent weeks, hopefully this goes down well too.

It was very nice but for a final, do we want nice? For me, that wasn't a winning performance. It was a bronze medal performance. 6.5/10

It says something when the best performance score wise is one from another X Factor singer, it shows no originality whatsoever and is something almost anyone could've chosen in a heartbeat and I think that sums up what your mentor has chosen for you throughout the competition. I mean I'll be blunt and say it was a miracle you survived last week because that was some of the worst song choices I've ever seen in a game. Your mentor essentially chooses songs that anyone and their grandmother could've picked within seconds that are just boring and predictable as hell. 0/10

The top form of a true champion arrived in that performance it was sheer perfection and better than the original.

Light, flowy, elegant and eloquent, that could be your defining song, I loved it.

Tamera you've been such a strange act to watch all these weeks, it's honestly beyond me how you're here right now. I don't get it at all. But anyway, I guess this was okay so I'll give it 6/10. But that's generous.

(Nic I got my scores for Tamera's performances round the wrong way, sorry )
NicPlays

That went pretty badly for Tamera, losing 9.5 off of her original score, leaving her 12.5, as well as getting a 0. But, it's your votes that count.

Up next, she has the highest average of all the finalists as well as most immunities, it's Saara Aalto!

Ah Saara, this was lovely. I am one of your biggest fans but from a judging perspective, this wasn't my favourite performance of yours. However, you still have time to turn all of that around. Beautiful tone though. 8.5/10

Credit where credit is due, Danyal has pretty much been the saving grace of this competition as far as song choices are concerned and this one was my favourite out of all of his. There's something spectacularly enchanting and emotional with this song that seemed to fit effortlessly with Saara and I can't really say much else. 8/10
NicPlays

I liked this a lot Saara& you came out fighting proving that this is a tight final and anyone’s for the taking well done.

I absolutely adored this song choice. It was a gem of a find and Danyal has been a fantastic mentor to Saara throughout. It suited Saara down to a tee, well done. 9/10.

Leaderboard So Far:
1) Saara Aalto: 8.5,8,9 (25.5)
2) Emily Middlemas: 10,3,8 (21.0)
3) Tamera Foster: 6.5,0,6 (12.5)

All three acts dropped from their previous scores, they have lots to prove here.

Giving us a 'Wow Factor', it's Emily Middlemas!

Emily, this just wasn't you. I don't want to be made to feel uncomfortable in a final and this did I'm afraid. You had such an amazing first performance but this, this wasn't the wow factor.
NicPlays
02-01-2017
Yeah this was bad not suited to Emily at all really, again the mentor is new so doesn't really get the games yet so I'm not gonna be harsh but yeah never choose a male singer for a female act in these games.
