If that had been the reason, it would have been useful if one of the four judges had taken 10 seconds to mention it.

I thought Claudia danced very well tonight, they looked great as a couple. I was very impressed with the lifts, felt they were unlucky to not even get one 10.

Clearly not.

I think she is the sweetest girl but I don't care for her dancing.
Tonight was all gymnastics and none if the passion Len is always rambling on about.
That might be an age thing but whilst I thought she dud some death defying lifts, it just didn't do it for me and I thought the routine was meh
Lovely girl though and danced what she was given far better than Louise danced hers..she was all wobbly.

I thought she would get at least one 10 and was actually amazed when she didn't. I did think they both looked disappointed and I can't blame them.

That AT was brilliant, I absolutely loved it (shame that the singer absolutely murdered the song) and the judges should be ashamed

Have feeling between them that translates to fluidity of dance and partners.

Just rerun the show with hubby who had been watching the rugby. He was as astonished as me at the scores for Claudia and AJ's AT. He is not a fan of Strictly, but he even watched it a second time just for the amazing lift.

What perhaps irritates me the most is, for someone who is clearly an outstanding dancer and at such a late stage of the competition, when the judges give absolutely no reasons for deducting marks. Craig did give a reason, Len, Bruno and Darcey didn't however - and it must be annoying for the people involved to not actually know why they've dropped a mark!

But yes, I thought it was badly undermarked - I've no idea what they have to do to get 10s!

They deserved 10s.

Why did they (the judges) think it was EQUAL TO THEIR JIVE?

Never seen an Argentine Tango with so many lifts. Thought it was awful

That was my fave dance of the series so far. Can't believe no 10s. Super disappointing.

I was shocked by how low Claudia's scores were, it was an incredible dance, really intense, very complex footwork which I think she nailed (not that I really know what I'm talking about), brilliant acting too. So good to see her dancing to half decent music. Haven't been a fan of her before but I'm a fan of that AT.

considering last weeks jive that she got four 9's for and it was a bit of a shambles, tonights dance should have been off the scale!

Cannot believe that she got the same score tonight as she did last week

I dont blame either of them for looking disappointed in Claud 9 when they got their scores tonight

Have to disagree. While Claudia's AT was pleasing and dramatic enough she spent two thirds of it in the air. So much classic AT was missing.

You may not like Louise but she is a better dance technician than Claudia and while she lacks emotion sometimes the same can be said for AJ and Claudia.

I thought what little she had to dance was danced well, but there were far too many lifts! She spent more time in the air than dancing, and she should never get a 10 for that. I thought the score was fair.

While theres no denying Claudia did some impressive lifts, thats all it was really. She spent most of the routine off the floor and it didn't seem anything like an AT to me

Mine too, I thought it was incredible. Mrs AE had me rewind and watch it straight away again.
As to "too much time in the air" the difference is that she could dance while in the air rather than just look like she was being held up.
That was ridiculously under marked.

I think it was a brave take on the AT & Claudia performed really well! Her air lifts trumped Louise's table kick that's for sure!

On Youtube playback AJ broke character twice and smiled...

The consistency of Claudia's marking has been very strange, almost per-determined, as if the performance on the night doesn't matter.

As for Claudia being in too many lifts, well I think her gymnastic skills have to be displayed as a highlight of her dances but it has to be at the right times. After the first couple of weeks I think Claudia and AJ have generally done that and they were fine tonight as well.

I really enjoyed tonight's show from a dance perspective (bar the Rinderumba...I like him but that wasn't his dance) but more strongly than ever tonight I felt the judges were marking their preconceptions about the couples rather than the actual dances - with the exception of Danny & Oti who I do think deserved 40 for that incredible samba.”

Me too - they were fabulous, gave a couple to Ed as i do enjoy his dances.

Not enough AT dancing imo.
Too many lifts and unsteady at key moments.
Easy to get carried away with a series of lifts but the dance element was compromised.
7 or 8 imo.

As this isn't a "real" AT comp but a SCD AT (or any world wide DWTS) your comment appears to be quite irrelevant.

And, as has been commented already, the pros have AT experts to choreo with them.

She was brilliant. For a little person she looked tall and elegant IMO.
