icons of history - who is still alive?

Generally there's one person that you've heard of in any field that you have little interest in

I guess they would be the icons of that field

For us in GB it might be Bobby Charlton in football, Lester Piggott in racing.......

both still going.......Lester is 90, Bobby is 90 next year

Forgot about Lester Piggott. It's strange he hasn't been knighted given his achievements especially as the Queen is a horse racing fan. Ok he didn't pay his taxes but neither did the Queen until she was pressured.
