I honestly don't know either. I haven't spoken to anyone who likes her. The 'talent' is dubious - but she's not even endearing or likeable.

Look at all the publicity and debate she's generating online etc, that's all they're interested in. The powers that be, that is.
There's no escaping Honey G.

I don't even watch the programme & I can see that
What a pile of crap, choose life, turn over & watch Sir David Attenborough's Planet Earth 2 on BBC 1.

And that's the problem. For a novelty act she had absolutely no likeabilty or warmth at all so it falls flat

Honey G is just the same thing every week, it's just that she does uptempo numbers though which is why it's not pointed out as much which I think is unfair.

However tonight I don't think that she was the worst, in fact I respect the fact that she was only one of two acts tonight that didn't use any miming tricks (or that I noticed anyway) she's terrible but it was live at least.

is it cruel to build her up to thinking she is a talented artist ,
when in reality she is the joke act

Who is this "Anna" person who worked/works as an IT consultant or something like that then? Why does she switch between voices in the house?
I kind of think she isnt really all there tbh Maybe she has a personality disorder and the "Honey G" personality is taking over.

I don't think, I'm sticking it to Cowell. I don't want to. He seems a nice guy, he does entertaining shows. I'm voting for Honey G because I want to see her every week.

Why does someone who believes in themselves have to have some kind of personality disorder or be mentally ill ??

To be clear - I am not sticking up for her. As a decades-long fan of rap music, I find her act abhorrent.

Not singling you out or anything because it's an opinion i've seen from a lot of people, but I just find it weird that she's classed as 'mentally ill' because of how she sees herself.

If "Honey G" was "Harry G", would it be different ?. Would "he" be seen as someone with supreme self confidence ?

Don't get me wrong, if she wins and takes her glasses off and says on live television "look, i know i'm shit, i was just in this for a laugh" then fair enough, i'll hold my hands up but I don't think it will happen. I honestly think she'll want to release a rap album.

Is it really how she sees herself though? I mean, you said yourself you find her terrible, I just think theres self belief and then there's complete delusion
I dont think Honey G would be seen differently if she was a guy.
I agree with you though if she comes out and says "I was doing this for a laugh" fair enough, but she seems (on camera) to be taking things too serious. BUT then we hear people like Ryan saying she's like two different people, so I dont know
The likes of Wagner, Chico, John & Edward etc, had some charm and good humour. Honey G does not.

Felt sorry for her tonight. Clearly what this is is an act that she used to do at parties or whatever that got way out of hand and actually behind the act she's a sensitive person. She was clearly unnerved by the stage invasion and didn't recover despite her best efforts. During the Black Beatles bit she just looked hopelessly lost and seemed like she wanted out of it. The mannequin challenge bit looked absolutely amazing though. Seriously incredible effort from the audience and judges.

OMFG - I have just watched the second track. Utterly awful. Beyond words as to how bad it was.

If she really believes she is a credible artist, then she is in need of psychiatric care. To be this deluded is not healthy. To indulge her with support is only feeding the delusion and causing her lasting harm.

We have had enough of this joke (if that is what it is) - and if it isn't a joke, she needs to go for the sake of her own health.

I can see why her very nice but very posh mother hasn't been wheeled on before this episode. Nothing street about Honey G; she should call herself Money G.

The Salt n Pepa track really showed up how bad Honey G is, as those girls were such fantastic rappers. Honey can't even do the most basic thing and sing/rap fast enough to keep up with the original performers.

I think its the 'switches between different voices' thing that has people's backs up. I don't know anyone who's mentally sound who does that, let alone with the people they live and work with, instead of as a deliberate performance (e.g. one voice for in the house, one for on stage), or like some of us have, a 'phone voice'.

That detail, added to how she behaves on stage and after her performances, builds up the picture of someone who might not be quite well in the head. Did you see how angrily she reacted to the suggestion in her VT this week that she was an entertainer rather than a rapper? You would think a completely sound 35 year old woman (or man, if she was a man!) could have had some banter about that or laughed it off - really, to react any different way would have seemed more natural.

I feel like she's the new Fleur East. She's just waiting for her big moment. I've given her 20 votes today and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Not really. Fleur is good, and Honey most certainly isn't.

Well, she did quite a good job of getting the lyrics tight. I'm surprised. At least this time she sounded as if she was really trying. Something about the way she moves isn't right though. She still looks like she doesn't belong on a stage rapping. She doesn't have that edginess that famous rappers have when you see them. I don't know what it is but she just doesn't look right. Ah well, it doesn't matter. She might do well out of it for so long once the show's finished.

Yeah I'd love to know more about these people, are they a paid for audience of extras, they seem odd and not representative of peoples opinions.
