Blatant fix

This was obvious before the dances even started. At the end, Danny and Louise equal top, what a surprise! The order was so easy to predict the Judges should hang their collective heads in shame. Everything that Ola and co said about fixing the marks to ensure the favoured few are top is proven right.

Thank God the public can reverse the decision and keep Ed Balls in. Unfortunately for Judge Rinder, he will be in the dance off and an obvious vote off even if the other celeb (Ore) breaks his legs.

SCD has become a laugh and has plumbed to the depths of professional wrestling fixes.

Why do I therefore watch? Just to see the Judges faces and comments when Ed stays in after all they have done to boot him out. When will they realise that this is an entertainment show about celebrities and not a show about four tired and clapped out has beens.

Ed was bottom before the Chachathon and he was bottom after the Chachathon. He deserved to be bottom before the Chachathon and he deserved to be bottom after the Chachathon.

Er, the judges are there to judge the DANCING and Danny and Louise are the best dancers, so they top the leaderboard.

I thought Claudia was undermaked and she deserved at least a couple of tens for her AT but other than that I've no problem with marking this week.

Ed Balls was terrible as always and so was (a distant) last.

Now if the public are mad enough to send Ed through for another week then that's up to them but the judges are doing what they are paid to do which is get the worst DANCER out.

They're supposed to judge dancing, and Ed is crap at it. He should've been out the week he nearly dropped Katya.

Louise was not that good. She has a terrible frame and does not lift herself out of her diaphragm. Danny is by far the best celebrity we have ever seen but Louise is average at best.

What the Judges are paid for is open to conjecture as they seem to think the show is about them rather than the celebrities.

Believe it or not most of us probably don't want Ed to win, it would make a joke of the programme if he did and some of us prefer to watch dancing! He has tried but only the best should win.

Louise was still looking for her lost earring.

If the Daily Mail is to be believed, the judges get up to 3x what the celebrities get. Personally I think clever little Bruno gives the best value.

Never believe the DM and the difference if a celebrity stays in all the way to the final is minimal.

DM will compare oranges and apples, a celebrity who goes in the first week, with a judge there all three months.

There's no fix and no one's trying to boot Ed out. He is the worst dancer and even though I've really enjoyed watching him down the weeks it's time for him or Rob to go.

Danny still toppped the leaderboard....the only difference is that Louise joined him at the top.

I don't understand the hysteria on here tonight. The placing looked absolutely fair.

Yes she does have a tendency to drop her head at times.

I agree. More to the point why on earth does it matter? What on earth would be the point in fixing the result? Who gains? The prize is a piece of plastic with glitter on it probably made by the Blue Peter props department.

Doesn't the tie at the top make it statistically easier for him to avoid the dance off now?

Totally agree.
I don't think those of us who have given him any votes for entertainment will be doing that tonight. What he did was poor and lacked any entertainment factor that could 'justify' voting for him above others who were all better.

Just wondering the thread started by someone with only 19 post so far

Quite provocative?

A draw at the top of the leaderboard is to Ed's advantage (in fact it is to all the lower scoring celebs' advantage) since it gives the public vote more weight. So not a fix in my view.

I did think that about Louise as soon as she appeared when we saw her back, and have thought it previously, too.

It's easier for him to avoid the dance-off than if there'd been no tie at all, but admittedly the tie moving from Claudia/Ore in the middle to Danny/Louise at the top makes it marginally harder for him than it was before the Chachathon happened. It pulled Danny closer to him but pushed Ore and Louise further away.

A few years back they published a breakdown of the salaries.... the pros back then got £30k, the judges £100k, Tess somewhere around £200k and dear old Brucie a whooping and wholly undeserved £500k. I think the pros now get more - the judges about the same and Tess and Claudia roughly the same.... so Brucie going paid for a pay rise for all the pros......

The celebs have always been a bit of an unknown quantity - in the first few series they got a fixed fee, latterly it's been on a sliding scale depending on how far they got I. The run... was think it depended on how good their agents negotiating skills are....
