It was a VERY accurate post, echoing perfectly what the vast majority of people on SM (and the ghastly SS site) are saying. The only thing the OP got wrong was: it's Judge Rinder that they are absolutely desperate to get rid of! Ed's a patsy. They know Ed can't win. JR is a genuine threat. I have honestly never seen them so BLATANTLY try to nobble someone like this before - except for, maybe Ashley Taylor-Dawson. They finally fixed it for him to lose, even though his final dance has had over ONE MILLION views on YT That's more than most series winners get! They nobbled him, good & proper.

Incidentally, if it makes things any clearer: Danny & Louise are both doing the live tour. Funny that. Anyone would think... It's like they're somehow being protected? Gosh no! What conspiracy theory nut would think such nonsense?

That leaderboard was certainly "turned on its head" tonight! Hahaha....

I think saying it's a fix is going a bit far but I have been trying to see what's so great about Louise and AS aside I haven't seen it. I wish I could see it as she seems really genuine and down to earth, really lovely but not that special as a dancer.

As far as their waltz was concerned I am certain and that was part of the storytelling, it was too pronounced not to be.

OP, get off your high horse and realise that not everyone likes Ed! Some of us actually like the good dancers.

Of course it was fixed to a certain extent by the Cha Cha Challenge, but that did no more than break a tie on the leaderboard. The scores for the main dances were all fully deserved - good and bad. Danny deserved 40, Ed deserved 23.

In terms of the voting system, having couples tied at the top of the leader board doesn't mean they are both first 1st, it is closer to them both being joint 2nd. They are both only one point ahead of the 3rd place couple on the scoreboard. A tie is not the result that the producers would choose if they wanted to manipulate the result.

I am sorry but to me the OP is complete and utter rubbish!!
I love Ed & Katya & would be happy if the public vote sees them through another week (they got two of my free votes, Ore the other) but the judges are there to give their marks according to the dances which is exactly what they did!!
Maybe Claudia should have had a couple of tens this week but she was vastly overmarked last week so no conspiracies there!!
I haven't always been a fan of Louise but that Waltz tonight was danced beautifully & fully deserved it's 10s!!
As for the other poster making all the noise on this thread I haven't forgotten the utter cr*p he/she posted about Georgia every week last year so not much notice taken there!!

Errr... the judges aren't there to judge a contestant's popularity or how entertaining a contestant is, they're there to judge the quality of the dancing, which is exactly what they did.

Gawd blimey some people take this show sooooooooooo seriously it's ridiculous. Lets call the Special Branch to investigate fix allegations. Introduce drug testing too. Get the issue discussed in parliament. Call a G8 summit of world leaders to debate the issue.

The BBC have their own reasons for the way the Judges fix the show. Many times the finalists have been under contract to the BBC or the celebs voted off have contracts with organisation other than the BBC.

Doesn't always happen as the public do have the final say.

In my opinion (if I have your permission to have one) it was far better when the public voted for the dance off.

As a point of view and in keeping with the thread topic.

SCD is not a dance contest, simple. If it were, celebrities would be chosen who have equal chance of winning...that is a contest.

Simply by including a wide range of age, ability and experience, the BBC have made this a popularity contest and not a dance one.

If all you want is perfection in the celebrities dancing, then just forget the ham and eggers like Ed Balls and trawl the circuit for Jay McGuinesses, Kara Tointon and soon to be winner Danny Mac. No one has denied their ability just the way the Judges fix the voting to try and give them even more of an advantage than they already have.

SCD viewing figures would plummet if the celebrity ham and eggers were left out. Everyone loves an underdog and the public vote is our only way of telling the BBC that we enjoy the performance and entertainment as much as the dancing.

SCD is an entertainment contest based on dancing, it's not Come dancing so it's not a dancing contest.

Popularity and favourites play a strong part as well as supporting who entertains us, and the underdog.

Now you started off SCD is a fix in a very provocative way in this thread, you will get strong rebuttal as it's not true and you have no evidence.

Best dancers at the top of the leader board ? You're right it's all a bloody fix.
Same with the Premiership, poor old Sunderland are down the bottom and Chelsea are top just because they've won more games. It's a disgrace.

If they were trying to manipulate it to get Ed out they would have made sure Danny and Louise weren't tied at the top. A tie makes it easier for the bottom couples to escape, not harder.

I actually take offence at your posts that question the right of someone to post an opinion with a small number of previous posts.

Everyone starts at one and moves on. Every FMs post is pertinent. There are no rules or regs that state you must have a certain number of posts before you are accepted.

I state and firmly believe that SCD is rigged. The BBC flatly refuse to release the public vote stating that it could affect the contest. How can it affect a contest after the contest is finished. Many ex dancers have stated the show is fixed. Anyone who thinks otherwise is entitled to their opinion but must be very naive.

Just look at the Judges pretending to discuss the dance off. Poor acting at best. No one watching the show on the TV has any idea how the dancers should have been scored as the camera was not on all of them all of the time. From what I saw, Judge Rinder was far better than Louise Rednap. Kevin is superb as is his choreography but Louise is average at best.

The Judges order of contestants this week was so obvious it was embarrassing.

I love the show and have since the very first one. The early shows were much more authentic and entertaining as no one knew who would go through but today, you do not have to be an oracle to know the results in advance.

One day, the truth will out but until then, I will still enjoy watching and occasionally when the time allows (medical reasons) post on this forum.

It might have been a fix, it might not have been a fix. I still think Louise was not as good as the judges made out. Sorry.

Much as I like Ed if he had been in the dance off against at least 10 of the other celebrities he would have been out.
I still think the show is being guided to make sure Louise is in the final. Even if she has an off week which could still happen.

Just as you did stating the the X Factor stage invasion was a fix, with no proof to back it up.

If anything was blatantly fixed and it got out, there would be a huge BBC scandal and possibly no further series.
And for what? The series' appeal is neither neither enhanced or reduced if Danny, Louise or Ore win. Why risk everything when there's no benefit at all?

Having people at the top with the same mark, helps the people at the bottom. Ed got two points instead of one from the judge score. On the other hand, the person with the least public vote will get one point for sure (it's unlikely two celebs will get exactly the same number of vote).

If it was fixed against Ed, they would have ensure a raking without equally placed couples.
