When are grown ups going to get the message that the X-Factor is not a singing competition,it's a TV show mix of soap opera/karaoke
TV shows need viewers and controversial acts draw in viewers.

Joke act or not,Honey G is certainly more entertaining/visible than the rest of the "wouldn't recognise them if they knocked on my door" singers.

Whoever wins the show this year,,will be a forgotten memory this time next year.
I don't think anyone is under any illusion that it's a serious singing contest any more and we all accept that it's more about entertainment than anything else.

The issue most people have this year though is that we don't see the etertaiment value in Honey G. She offers absolutely nothing apart from controversy that someone so useless is there.
As a joke act, she isn't funny and doesn't have the charm and tongue in cheek humour that previous acts who couldn't sing but accept their lot as the entertainment value. She seems to have the stage presence and personality of a plank of wood.
In previous years she's have been joining in with the nutters and no hopers group song at the final but this year, they're treating the worst act the show has ever seen as if shes a credible artist.
If they'd put through Onkar Judge and acted as if he was better than his idol Jacko, it's about on par with whats happening now

Personally I find Honey G fake and talentless. I can't even be bothered to laugh at her pathetic performances. I guess the judges OTT praise, standing ovations and shameless promotion of her is because she's bringing some publicity/controversy to their failing show. I doubt any of this years contestants will have lasting recording careers. I like Saara but feel she's more musical theatre than pop/recording. Matt's OK too but seems to need a personality. I won't be surprised if 5AM win.

She puts a hat and glasses on, has a go at rapping, and because of that she's on the autistic spectrum??? Do some of you read back what you type, ever??

Why do you think the judges and producers love Honey so much? She's playing the game! In many ways she's the perfect TXF act, cause she's able to stir things up so much, which is what the show needs and actively persues. Honey is the one people will remember from this series!
How daft is your remark ! wearing a hat and glasses has nothing to do with why I think she's on the autistic spectrum .It's her lack of awareness of people's response to her , the language she uses ,the way she seems clumsy and socially awkward .How many people of her age would think they wanted to be a rapper ?! it's a childish dream, and she says she thinks she's on a par with with some great rappers .I think they may be some clues.

The judges are supporting her and members of the public who can see past the glasses and hat are probably supporting her too .She is entertaining in her own way , good luck to her .

The faux praise and standing ovations IMHO she's already put this show on a path they will never recover. don't actually blame her but the judges comments are just insane. the OTT praise for everything she does
I agree. ^^^ I don't know whether to laugh or cry every time the judges praise her as if she is some kind of new God given talent.

It's pathetic and laughable, and so is anyone who likes her.

When Honey G's mum started playing MC Hammer on the piano, it was a mirror image of Paul McCartney playing Blankety Blank on the piano whilst Geraldine sang along ahead of TV themes week!
Ha ha LOL, yeah it so was!

Exactly, the show needs honey g to add something different and it gets people talking about the show. If you take her out you have just got a group of boring singers doing the same thing every week, that wont draw enough viewers in, like you say its become an entertainment show rather than just a singing competition and they need joke acts.
Why does the 'something different' have to be talentless shit though?

Agree. Honey G offers nothing; she is talentless, unfunny, and ugly.

Talentless and unfunny yes. We don't really know what she looks like without the tracksuit, hat and glasses, though I agree they do nothing for her. Without them and in a dress and heels she would look totally different

Google Anna Gilford and you'll see what she looks like without the costume. Most news sites have run stories on her, it's not a secret or anything. She's like a walking nose, I think the hat and glasses are meant to draw the eye away from the honker.

Sarah could sing anything

Surely the BIB perfectly describes Honey G The standing ovations and OTT remarks from the judges are laughable, and she offers nothing.

Problem is at least Susan had the voice and talent to back it up (usually), and she showed humility when she came runner up in the final of BGT I think if Honey was on the spectrum we'd know by now, but it doesnt create a good impression of autistic people, most people said she's a loner or just weird, and she acts like a graceless cow.

Realistically, she was a lot older than the other contestants so she might have felt out of place. She might have felt she didn't have much in common with them.

Maybe she would've mixed with them if they were closer to her own age?

She hasnt anything in common with anyone. she lives in her own world of fantasy. If age had anything to do with it, she should act hers and not some teenager.

Well this is YOUR opinion of course. ...I will beg to differ! ! She made it in the top 5....thats what getting folks backs up....hence the ongoing talking about her even after she has left...if she wanted to enter the show and do what she wanted to do. .......and call it whatever she desired....well good for her! ! She should be proud....hope she brings out more of this both on the tour and for years to come.

I'm glad she's finally gone AND that the judges at last said that she's been in it for long enough. It would have been ridiculous for her to get to the semi final, then again it's ridiculous that she got as far as she did.
I do not understand why the judges have given her so many standing ovations (they was always reserved for the likes of Princess Leona Lewis).
I don't want to sound mean but someone mentioned she may have autism. There must be some reason why the judges have pandered to her for so long. She can't rap, she doesn't even know half the lyrics, Saturday night during her second song it was a good job the backing track was on as she was out of breath and just managed to get back 'singing' when she got back on the stage.
I don't understand how she can have run her own recruitment company, the woman is strange.
Let's hope the Honey Gimmick hype will die down now.

I think more people would have warmed to her had she shown some self deprecation, however, she was so up herself and so convinced (whether it was an act or not) of her God given talent that she became nauseating. She came across surly and rude and at the end of the day, thoroughly dislikable and that schtick praising the producers and their mothers and everyone else connected with the Fix Factor at the end has done nothing to change my view.

Couldn't of said it better myself, and just for the record, Onkar Judge would of been more entertaining, at least he was actually funny.

As was her attitude in some parts of the show.

Surely a hardened drug-taking street-wise gangsta like her can take some criticism.
