According to Ed's Twitter him and Katya were going to be dancing the Rumba to Shirley Bassey's 'This is My Life'
Oh I would've loved to have seen that!

I really hope the song choice is better this time
Let's be fair, there is so much wonderful music to chose from they are spoiled for choice How they can come up with some of the rubbish they do, is quite beyond me |

So, for judge's choice:
Claudia and AJ: Cha Cha Cha (26) - Week One Danny and Oti: Foxtrot (30) - Week Six Judge Rinder and Oksana: Cha Cha Cha (25) - Week One Louise and Kevin: Jive (31) or Cha Cha Cha (31) - Week One / Week Three Ore and Joanne: Tango (25) - Week One I assume they'll ask Louise and Kevin to do the Jive to avoid two Cha Cha Cha's if Claudia and AJ are still there. I expect Judge Rinder to be gone then. Is Monkseal about.....?

On BBC Radio Stoke, AJ said he and Claudia have the Salsa this week and he mentioned lions.

Just looking at this and wondering if any series previously has had any (let alone 2) celebs who haven't scored under 30 all the way through....

Kara Tointon, Natalie Gumede and I think Frankie Bridge never scored under 30.

Lions? Lion King? Sounds like the producers are going back to making them kids again.
So she has the Rumba in the semi? That's a tough break. |

I know there are some changes as they go along, but aren't the dances generally decided in advance? I remember a pro saying they knew they would only have a certain dance if they got to a certain week. That would account for there seeming to be a lot of salsas and sambas left, rather than a more varied set of Latin options. Also, there a quite a few tangos left too, with the only one out of the remaining five to have danced it being Ore. |

Both Katie and Jay missed out the samba last year.

I am still pissed off that when most of the celebs hadn't even danced a Salsa or Samba, Laura had to dance a Samba with an ankle injury and she had already danced Salsa on week 3. To make it fair, I think they should make sure all the celebs had danced a Salsa or Samba, before asking them to do the second dance. They are both similar and very hard. |

In terms of finalists, Alesha, Rachel, Ricky, Kara, Natalie and Frankie all made the final without ever dipping below 30. So this would be the first time they' ve had two finalists manage it.
So there's hope for Ore/Claudia/Judge yet ![]()

Does "Pure Imagination" fit for a foxtrot? If so, I'd be happy with the music choice anyway
Here's hoping 😊 This is SCD and they might get the umpa lumpa song ![]()

pure imagination was used on DWTS this year by Laura and Val in an odd waltz think it will suit foxtrot better

Interesting that Claudia is skipping either quickstep or tango - quickstep was also a dance that Louis skipped in Series 10 (although IIRC he did do a quickstep based American Smooth). Maybe it's a gymnast thing, Nobody's ever skipped tango before, so it'd surprise me if it was that.

I'd love to see Danny & Oti's Foxtrot again without the mistakes. I really liked the concept, but Len hated the business with the chord connecting them together so I'm not sure the judges would choose that for the redo dance.

Do the pros/celebs decide which dance they want to skip or is it the producers?

AJ's propensity to make dances too quick for Claudia would not work in a Quickstep. You could imagine him being all 'I'm going to make this the faster QS Strictly has ever seen', and in the meantime Claudia's legs are scrabbling like Fred Flinstone's just to try to keep up. |

That foxtrot really has the potential to be something special if it's possible to tweak a few things i.e. new costumes and no Halloween makeup.

Robert said on the Scott Mills Show this afternoon that his dance this week is 'a lot more upbeat' than the Rumba. (Mind you isn't anything??) He didn't name the dance though, but sounds like a Waltz or a Tango. Definitely not an AT.

I think they'll opt for Louise's Jive though Danny's Foxtrot is slightly edgy for a finale. For Claudia they may opt for her Waltz if they don't choose Ore's or Danny's ChaCha and for the Judge if he makes it I think the AS might make the more impressive opener despite how impressive his first steps on the Strictly dance floor works. Besides it also saves Craig blaming his facial expession on nerves
To give that to her and the foxtrot to Danny ... which was more recent and with mistakes .. seems unfair and smacks of Jay's 'My Generation' QS nightmare vs Kellie's 'You Really Got Me' tango. I fully expect that to happen though should they both get to the final. |

I really don't want to see oti and Danny foxtrot again
. I doubt even the dance without mistakes is going to make me love it . I I just hope that the judges won't choose that dance for them to redo. It's just like Jay 's Quickstep from last year. I didn't like it . I couldn't get over that dreadful music. OF course the judges choose that dance in the finals ( to my dismay ) . Even with no mistakes, I still didn't like it .Anyways , going back to this thread. ..wow so they're saving the rumba for Claudia in the semi ? NOT good. I can't wait to see everyone's dances today and the music. IT will be very interesting to see who ends up in the bottom 2. |
