It was an amazing samba! I'm not that keen on the samba but from now on I shall expect all sambas to be as utterly fantastic as Danny & Oti's.

it was a good dance performed well and deserved its marks, that said as I have posted earlier in the week I do not personally like tribal themed sambas but that is just my preference
But when a samba is given good music (cannot remember any other sambas as good as they played tonight for a long while) how the dance is so much better to watch |

It was PERFECTION, THE BEST SAMBA I HAVE EVER SEEN ON Strictly, Oti's Choreography was FAB-U-LOUS and Danny's dancing was INCREDIBLE, for me, it was the dance of the series so far.

I think it was stupendous, I watched open mouthed
but in a good way ![]() I also think Oti's routines are really interesting and original and underated. Love her and the way she has made Danny an even better dancer than before is amazing

Same here. Watched it three times. I think some other pros could learn from Oti.
She really knows how to play to the celebs strengths. I gave a standing ovation. I think judges should have given them a SO. |

It's been around for years. It's always been one of my favourite samba tracks, especially in comps. It was also used in the film Dance With Me.

Great performance but looked messy to me, have to watch on Youtube and see it again!
Oti looked FAB-U-LOUS darling! A stunning girl for sure, so happy she got a ringah this year... but a duffer beckons in 2017, if she's back. |

It wasn't a Samba. Too aggressive. Too jerky. Nowhere near loose enough. Lacked passion, sizzle & any emotion other than "LOOK AT ME! AREN'T I GREAT". Typical Danny dance, all said. Overrated, overmarked, over-gushed-over. I scored it a generous 4 (and I'm an ex-part-time, semi-retired, professionally-trained, dance expert, so I should know what I'm talking about, darlings!)
Check out Jake Wood's Samba sometime. Or Matt Baker's, or... in fact - any Samba ever, in the entire history of the series. Danny's ranks just slightly below Anne Widdecombe's. Cheerio! PS Danny's gonna smash it in the final. So is Louise! They're both gonna SMASH it, come final night. Wait and see. Smack it clean out of the park! The other contestants are simply wasting their time, their energy, and their effort. DANNY MAC (or LOUISE) WILL WIN THIS SERIES.... EASILY. Everybody knows it. Their extensive previous dance training is starting to show through now, and has been threatening to poke out since Week 0. Yipppeee. I love them both equally. Oti & Kevin are just enjoying the ride, coasting along, lapping up the 10 10 10 10s. DANNY DANNY DANNY, LOUISE LOUISE LOUISE. win win win.... |

I love the Samba, it's my favourite dance on SCD.
I also love Danny & Oti. It's a tie between them and Louise & Kevin as my fave couple. But...( don't shoot me)... I thought it could have had more bounce ![]() I didn't enjoy it as much as I enjoyed... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6peTah69j54 or... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJA6_iVSj0o Sorry. I just think ( as a Samba lover ) that it's all about the bounce. A story is neither here nor there if there isn't uber bounce going on.

Loved it and just noticed that one of Oti's earrings flies off at the beginning. Echoes of Gio's poppy flying off during GG's samba.

I loved it. Danny, for me, is very much a showdancer, not technically perfect but always wows.
Big shout out for Oti's outfit this week. It was beautiful. |

Well I can't be doing with semi pro contestants , but I must say I enjoyed that routine .
I've no clue about the technical bits and bobs, I just want to watch and be happy and it was a really entertaining sparky routine that ticked all my boxes . Oti makes me though , she is so SO gorgeous and goddess like that it's unfair on us mere mortals. I'm totally jealous . Loved her hair tonight , and also appreciated that Danny wore an understated outfit that allowed us not to be distracted from his actual moves .

I thought it was dire but perhaps it's the dance I don't like rather than their performance.

Fabulous samba. Oti deserves to win just for her choreography. She's superb.

Incredible dance, one of the best Strictly has ever seen, and worthy of the first Samba to get 40. Danny performed it brilliantly but Oti was mesmerising, what a woman!
Can't wait to see it again as their favourite dance in the final, if they choose it. |
