So many understanding Martin now lol

Interesting that so many are changing their attitude to Martin. I suspect they all thought he would have been voted out. Carol I think is ok with him and maybe more intelligent than some to pick him to partner her in last nights hilarious task.

They know the public is watching and don't want to be accused of bullying. Media savvy lol

I don't think so - Joel has previously spoken about how he likes Martin, Carol already shown understanding of him and Ola and Sam haven't displayed any issues with him?

It's only Larry, Scarlett and Adam (plus Danny) who have taken issue with him previously. I don't think the attitudes displayed tonight were anything new.

I wish he'd tell Larry to pee off

And Wayne after talking with Larry

I love how it's all turned into bullying 101.

The PC Brigade are really doing a wonderful job of turning this into something it's not.

PC? So you'd be OK then being humiliated in front of everyone with the others laughing? I'm as far removed from PC as you can get. Martin needs to give some a taste of their own medicine. Then again he doesn't need to....he's providing more fun than the rest of them put together.

In response to a Telegraph article regarding anti-bullying charities being concerned.

An ITV spokesman told The Telegraph: "The welfare of our celebrities is of utmost importance. We constantly monitor and talk to them to check on their welfare and have procedures in place to address any unacceptable behaviour."

They've been drilled, Larry hasn't complied. Chosen One being super pally to Martin was too big a U turn to be natural. She's definitely had the whisper from TPTB.

IMO

Maybe but Scarlett has changed her attitude tonight

They're (Ant and Dec) having a laugh. Nothing more. There's nothing cruel or malicious about it!

So you're saying that people can't make a joke at someone else's expense any more? It's a dangerous road to go down.

Martin is super whiny. For a man of his age - he really is incredibly annoying...

To be fair to Carol - she seems to always have had a soft spot for Martin.

I'm so disappointed with Larry - before it started I really wanted him to be in the final three - his behaviour though has really been disgusting. He made a decision about Martin from the very beginning (clear from his 'lower middle-class' comment) and decided to never give him a chance. Nasty, nasty, vile old man.

I also believe that Carol is genuine. I do also think that Larry has a nasty side that will and is coming out. Not sure of Martin but he is making us talk

Me too, but I think he's wise to keep his cool and look the better man. He certainly did that tonight after all that nastiness from the toxic Larry.

And Larry? He had a completely ridiculous go at Martin for nothing.... and there was no joking about it.

He certainly did 👍

What was telling was Larry's reference to Martin's 'class' 😉

He's not very bright if he thinks that that sort of attitude will win him votes. It was as if he couldn't contain his hatred of Martin for a moment longer.

As someone said in another thread - Larry has a massive chip on his shoulder - and he's taking it out on Martin.

Larry's pretty much thrown it.

One of his mates is out so he just wants to go to that hotel.

As someone who had Larry as a favourite and disliked Martin I agree. Larry didn't do himself any favours. He put me right off him tonight.

I've liked Martin from the start and really do sympathise with him, it seems like he can do no right in there. Larry was just throughly unpleasant tonight and shows he has a nasty side.

I can understand why they would find him annoying at times, but I think they realise now that he is a nice person at heart, who never intentionally sets out to antagonize anyone and appears to be quite sensitive, so naturally there opinions would change as time goes on.

See I only think its Larry who has taken real issue with him, Scarlett had one minor disagreement when they first met, Adam was quite encouraging and supportive with him the first few days, only thing I can think he has done recently was laugh at Larry's comment. And yeah him and Danny just didn't click at all but I think the feeling was mutual there.

the rest not so much.

Even the ones who are pretending to like Martin are condescending towards him. I think they can see how Larry's coming across and trying to distance themselves.

They all bow down to Larry as the "boss" even if he's not president but he showed his true colours the way he spoke about Martin behind his back. Why on earth was he bringing class into it. I've gone right off him since that. I've liked him on programmes he's been in but his true self seems to be not very pleasant.

I thought Carol was absolutely lovely choosing Martin to partner her the other night. It's exactly what I would have done because otherwise he'd have been left until last, humiliating as that is. I gave her many kudos for her emotional intelligence.

Having said that, they're all adults. Martin isn't a kid at boarding school. He's a successful property developer. I doubt he'd want to be patronised.
