Favouritism towards Louise

I've never had any problems with Louise and think she's quite good but as the series has went on other dancers get nitpicked at for the slightest things but Louise sails through with rarely any critisizem.

Tonight I thought really took the biscuit because her dance was far from perfect and yet no one had a problem with it and IMO she should've been in third of forth place, not tied first.

I'm sorry to say that I find the judges constant favouritism rather off putting.

I don't think the favouritism is for her although she benefits from it. It's for Kevin from Grimsby.

the judges usually have a favourite each series and very rarely find fault with the chosen one

the chosen one rarely wins either

How can Louise be the chosen one when Danny has got 40 two weeks in a row?

Exactly and surely Claudia was favourite last week being saved over Greg.

So when the judges described her as plateauing and not being anything but consistent rather than spectacular, they were favouring her over others? I think she took on board the judges comments and listened to her strict but brilliant teacher and has naturally improved. I'd say there is more favouritism towards Danny Mac than there is Louise.

I'm not sure about every other week, but this week, the judges' praise for Louise felt OTT. As other people have pointed out- if that waltz choreography had been dished up by certain over pros, Len would have been apoplectic about the fact that there wasn't enough in ballroom hold, and it was more like an AS. Both Darcey and Craig have picked up on the fact that Claudia looks at the floor too much to spot, yet have not pointed out the same fault in Louise.
I'm still not buying the 'you've really come out of your shell, and you are really selling the dance' line they are trying to feed me either.
Don't get me wrong- they've all had praise dished out or faults ignored when it suits the judges, it just seems to happen to Louise a lot more.

Waltz was good as not much character required. Marks abut right I think. But no way did she win that cha cha

It's the same thing every year with Kevin's partners. The judges want him to win so badly.

Do they? Last year in the swingathon (or whatever it was), Kevin and Kellie didn't do well, and they were really slated for their show dance in the final. I think people see what they want to see.

Certainly not Susanna, she was often bottom., Frankie the judges preferred Flackers. Last year Kellie I don't think was a favourite until the final, where she danced well. Their show dance was the best. Louise is consistently behind Danny this year.

Yawn.

A waltz is a dance that should be in first half of series. I can understand why Kevin jazzed it up for want of a better phrase as it would have just been too bland against the other dances. I don't think it was worth the 10's but then I don't think Ore deserved the 9's. Claudia was marked about right after being over scored last week. Danny will be getting straight 40's right through until the final unless he makes a significant mistake.

We're on for a sure fire winner just like last year so I can't get worked up about all this favouritism stuff by the judges. Danny will win.

Erm, Danny got 40 two weeks in a row because both his dances were superb!! If anyone is the favourite it is Ore - he never gets picked up on his lack of hip action, flailing hands and poor footwork!

This week yes, last week no. His Charleston was not a 40 for me.

She's clearly technically very good, though I do find it odd that the judges don't point out the lack of character in most of her dances. Seemed that once Halloween week happened it was as if she'd had a breakthrough there and it was never mentioned again. I really don't think she did. But hey, opinions

For me, Claudia clearly delivered a better dance tonight but suspect the perceived undermarking will work in her favour & drive votes.

But my point still stands about Claudia being saved over Greg

Danny is a great show dancer but his technique isn't always perfect but he is extremely watchable.

Quite. I score dances every week immediately afterwards and throughout series he is the one who I have more regularly scored lower than the judges. Well of the better dancers.

No, it wasn't. However, it was better than anything else.

The judges painted themselves into a corner with the absurd marking of Claudia's horrible jive and had nowhere else to go. The marks for that relative atrocity will stick in the mind for a while.

They scored 40 for their showdance

Susannah was only bottom of the leaderboard in finals week and until about week 10 she was always in the top half

Compared to Natalie and Abbey who were often ahead of her. Probably the same level as Sophie

But she wasn't 'often bottom', though.

Yes! My mistake. It was Kevin and Susanna's showdance that was below par.

Susanna was :

Week 2 : 4th of 15
Week 3 : 2nd of 14
Week 4 : 7th of 13
Week 5 : 3rd of 12
Week 6 : 2nd of 11
Week 7 : 2nd of 9 (Natalie injured)
Week 8 : 1st of 9
Week 9 : 5th of 8
Week 10 : 6th of 7
Week 11 : 6th of 6
Week 12 : 4th of 5
Week 13 : 4th of 4, then 3rd of 3

Basically other than in Week 4, when she got a samba, Susanna slowly climbed up the leaderboard until Blackpool, where she peaked, after which she promptly sank to the bottom and stayed there.

1. He flipping deserve them; those two dances were fabulous.
2. And although, Danny is consistently well marked (for good reason) he wasn't the first one to get them.

You know what I mean. She was never a judges favourite.
