Louise is just a bit bland and boring. A bit like Daisy. Inoffensive enough but no charisma.

She has yet to appear in a dance off so I guess she's popular where it counts

I don't think she's unpopular at all. This forum rarely represents the popular opinion.

In reply to the OP, quite the opposite. I find Kevin mildly irritating but Louise really annoys me. She used to be on a Weekend Brunch show and just sat there sighing, what you really want me to stir this pot? Stand up? Say something? Everything was too much effort. She turned up and seemed to think that was enough.
In SCD she does the steps, mostly well, but puts no personal effort into performance. I don't buy the lack of cnfidence, shy stuff, she's done some very scantily clad photoshoots. I don't think she puts much of herself into her dances. It's as if she grudges giving anything more. Just like the Brunch show. Maybe she thinks we've had our money's worth The judges do her no favours by ignoring all her faults as they don't give her anything constructive to work on. Craig should be saying , "Bland boring saccharine", Len should've said "Too much faffing about and a mark off for the illegal lift" Bruno should have told her to engage with the dance and the audience and Darcey should have told her to stop looking at her feet. |

Louise is a nice friendly very attractive woman with a great figure. She is however dull with almost no personality and, I hate to say it, comes across (to me anyway) as not being particularly bright.
I haven't really enjoyed any of her dances. I was looking forward to her AT as it is my favourite dance and she danced it well but there was no passion, no feeling. Same with the flashdance routine. That should have been a WOW dance but it just wasn't. I won't be that unhappy if she wins but personally I don't even want her in the final. I'd rather see Claudia there. |

Funny, Louise is the only contestant left I manage any emotional connection to. Yes, the emotion is not big and bold and brash and in your face, but it is there. Plus, she is a beautiful dancer, very graceful and elegant.
I really struggle to connect with Danny and Oti. Their dances are always so overloaded, it's impossible for me to just relax and enjoy. I'm not managing to see any passion, love, longing or romance in their dancing. Well, I guess they've given us passion, but of a very aggressive kind in their AT and VW. Not my cup of tea. My favourite dance of theirs would have been the Foxtrot, but then Oti went and put that idiotic rubber band in. Why?? Claudia is cute. Not really nailing the adult themes for me though. Plus she was saved in a dance off she should have lost. Why people got all indignant about Jamelia and Melvin being unfairly booted but are ignoring this one is beyond me. Ore and Joanne are very up and down. Am starting to like them again though. Well, apart from that endless Fleckerl. Ed and JR are fun. Sometimes. |

I've just watched K&L's waltz again, I'm no dance expert by any means but when she's not in hold her free arm movement wasn't very good at all
And Ore & Jo's Paso, she was clearly leading. But as I say, I'm no expert. |

I love Kevin, and I really like Louise as a person.
The trouble for me is, when she's out on the dance floor, too often she just doesn't let go and throw herself into the dance enough. I'm not a dancer, so for me it's more about the performance than the dancing. Thus my favourites are usually people like Ed Balls, and Jeremy Vine. The good dancers who I admire are the ones, like Danny, who can act the dance as well. I definitely like Danny WAY more than Jay, who (in my opinion) had the same problem as Louise. All ringers, but if it has to be a ringer who wins then I'd rather it was a ringer who can also perform the dance. So yes, I like Louise. I would happily invite her round for dinner, or watch her present something on TV, but I'm not massively excited about watching her dance. |

In my case, absolutely not. I quite like Kevin - though he's not one of my favourites, and I do prefer his sister - and have voted for his partners on past occasions.
I'm by no means a dance expert, but I don't like Louise's dancing at all because she does absolutely nothing that entertains or engages me. I accept she does a lot of things that are technically correct, but I don't feel any emotion or excitement - it looks very much like dancing by numbers. I enjoy Rob Rinder's dancing far more as its so clear that he has fallen in love with dancing, cares passionately about the routines he is given and his joy is infectious. To me, there's more to dancing than doing the correct steps, and Louise has not got that extra something special. |

Dance competitions will almost certainly be won by the best technical performer, that is what dominates judges marks.
You might like the Rinder, Ore, Claudia or Ed for their character and enthusiasm but do you really think they would score more than Louise in a judged dance competition? This is Strictly though, if you feel Louise is a threat to your 'favourite', don't vote for her, that is how it will be ultimately decided. Don't try and make out these are deserving of better marks from judges who are marking an actual dance because clearly there are hardly any actual real judges of ballroom dances who would think that. Sadly for Louise she is being perceived as the "judges pet" (Emma Bunton anyone?); they are going to do everything they can to get her into the final. I'm one of those who's not too keen on Kevin but, I do enjoy his choreography and imho Louise is dancing by numbers. She gets "most" of the steps right but, I never see her looking as if she's "lost in the dance".

It might be me but... To me, louise is dancing slower and with less energy than Danny, claudia and Ore and so I feel her real position should be fourth..simples!

I would just like to see her let go. You say you are loving it - show me. It doesn't matter if you miss the odd heel lead if the actual joy of it comes through. The point you lose from Len you'll make up in the public vote. |

I agree with others, she does the steps, but does not seem to connect with the dance, which is only emphasised by Kevin doing all the work next to her.

I think Kevin comes across as a really lovely guy, I'm not as keen on his wife or sister though they irritate me at times.
I have never voted for Louise as like lots of other posters on this thread I find her dancing bland. boring and lacking in emotion. She might be technically miles ahead of Ed but I'd much rather watch him dance any day of the week! Dancing should be joyous and fun but she is so repressed when she dances as if she is frightened to let herself go which is why I've no idea why she signed up for the show (she can't need the money!!!!!!!) and I find it difficult to tell if she is enjoying the experience or not. I really can't see her changing now, for me she has been the same since week one and I am struggling to remember any of her routines. |

I've spoken to friends and family, some who really like Kevin, some who don't and the consensus regardless is that Louise is just so dull.

Louise is nice enough off the dance floor and nice enough on it but she doesn't wow me in general. It's competent ... it's fairly precise but it's not exciting and I hate all the fist bumping and cocking legs up between her and Kevin. Be spontaneous fgs.
I preferred Kevin with Frankie Bridge who just had a little more attitude. |
