Ego on the men's part, boredom with the pettiness on the women's part.
The women on the whole seem to be a refreshingly ego-free bunch, all confident, all happy to share, no one fighting to be top dog.

It was very uncomfortable to watch and a classic bullying technique, undermining Martin's confidence, isolating him, and making him feel like he'd done something wrong when he hadn't and even making him feel he had to apologise.
I was a fan of Larry's until he started reprimanding Martin.

Aw stop with this bullying thing. Larry's had to live with the infantile antics of the very obnoxious and selfish Martin for however many days it's now been. Just because Martin has finally managed to settle down a bit and not be quite so obnoxious doesn't mean that everyone in camp has to suddenly like him and/or forgive and forget his past behaviour. Larry had a rant - maybe ill-advised - but I'm certainly not going to write him off for letting off steam at someone so self-absorbed and entitled and grating.
I think the mask really slipped from Larry last night and he showed himself to be a rather unpleasant person, with his cruel sniping at Martin. The latter had only made a suggestion to help with decision making, and as per usual, he was totally ignored by the rest of camp. I thought Martin handled it particularly well, especially when Larry had the audacity to patronise him when he apologised. Of course there will undoubtedly be people who will excuse Larry's behaviour because it was "childish Martin" but belittling somebody then insulting them behind their back when they have done nothing to you is bordering on bullying and highly unacceptable.
I was disappointed in Wayne as well. I know people said he looked uncomfortable but he would have done himself more good just listening and not commenting. Why did he need to say that Martin didn't like Dion Dublin being brought in on HUTH. How does he know and now that Lucy has left, there is just the two of them. They only meet up to do the intro and links so they probably don't have much contact.
I liked Larry at the beginning but have been going off him recently and last night just about showed what type of person he is. I hope he goes before Martin.

He really took the opportunity to get it all off his chest when Martin apologised to him outside the dunny. He exaggerated, gesticulated and admonished Martin like he wasn't an equal in the camp and should know his place. The 'let's draw staws' thing was ridiculously blown out of all proportion.

Quite. They're living with each other 24/7 and he's certainly not the first to have a grumble about him. I agree he was snappy but he seems to think Martin undermines the youngsters and he's always been protective of them. It was nice to see Martin looking out for Scarlett's yesterday...I do think he's a nice guy at heart, he just doesn't always think before he speaks.

I absolutely agree. I now feel sorry for Martin. Had Larry been the one to jump in with the sensible suggestion to draw straws, then everyone would have agreed, but, because it was Martin, he was met with stony stares. A legacy from his earlier behaviour maybe but no one deserves that treatment. Its like being at school. Psychologists could learn a lot from studying the group dynamics in the jungle.
Anyway, the upshot is that Larry has blotted his copybook in my view and should definitely be voted for the next trial. He hasn't really done much, has he.

Well I'm sure he's nowhere near as infantile and obnoxious and ungracious in real life as he's come across on here, but I'm not sure he's nice exactly, more one of those people who're happy and fun to be around as long as they're in control, calling the shots and all their needs are being met.
That's not to say I'm not finding him entertaining - overall, I am, and I do think the camp needs an irritant - but all my sympathy goes to those who've had to put up with his foot-stamping, manbaby nonsense, and I'm therefore entirely in the corner of anyone who loses patience with his 'poor martin' act.

I think Larry couldn't wait to start slating Martin to Wayne. From what I've seen so far, it looks as if Larry wants to be the top dog of the camp. Adam's laughing earlier on in the episode just encouraged Larry to try and belittle Martin even more. I couldn't believe that Martin took his underwear off in clear view of his campmates and then put some more on. Either he has bad mental problems or he's not shy at all.

There's a massive difference between 'being up front' and being overly and unnecessarily hostile. Larry should learn to tell the difference.

I know we all have our own opinions - but for me - he hasn't suddenly started to be nasty to Martin - he's been fairly nasty to him from day one - it just became totally obvious and unacceptable last night.
Danny acted as Larrys guard dog keeping Martin in line. With Danny gone, Larry felt the need to have to keep him in line
