I'm not assuming anything. It has been shown that immigration is NET so it is adding to growth. And in terms of natural growth it has also been shown that the birth rate is higher in the immigrant population than in non immigrant population.
If we had no immigrants for the past 30 years our population would have decreased not increased. The world's population is growing anyway, what with advances in healthcare and improvements in diet. One thing you'll rarely hear mentioned in the right wing press is that some of the pressures on housing, schools and the NHS are down to natural growth of the population (particularly the health service for obvious reasons.....hospitals tend to be full of ageing British people, not immigrants). |

Well it is what it is : much of the UK's "ethnic" population has been in place for decades and are not recent arrivals.

There is no point allowing 300,000 extra people into the country each year just because the world is being over populated. And as I said before which you have ignored. The birth rate of the non immigrant population is going DOWN not UP. |

So growth of world population is of no concern to you? You need to look at just how things are changing as we write. See world population

Blimey, just listened to it now
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-DHqFikHoA What a nasty ignoramus of a bully that woman It's hardly surprising that bullying and intolerance seem to be on the rise - all for the sake of the bottom line showing a profit. It's scarcely putting the 'great' back in 'Great Britain'. |

I was surprised at how hardline the QT audience were on quitting the Single Market the other evening. Perhaps there is a working class / middle class divide going on here?
'A vote to leave means a vote to leave the single market' - David Cameron Osborne, Gove and johnson said the same. |

Maybe they just listened and were paying attention.

Well the Italian foreign minister agrees with you. He asked 'Why vote to leave the EU but then say you want to remain in the Single Market?' last week on Newsnight and he does have a point.
No one who voted leave said they wanted to stay in the single market if it meant keeping everything the EU represents in the first place. |

Just heard the radio interview with JHB and the Lib Dems really are showing their contempt for the GBP.
I can only guess that people who vote for them have short memories, or a dislike of the other parties that means they don't care about the Lib Dems treating them crap too. |

Soft Brexit is effectively staying in the EU but having no say or vote in how its run. You might as well not bother. |

Proof if proof is needed
http://order-order.com/2016/10/12/br...single-market/ But it just goes to show how bad the Remainers are at losing. Its no wonder its so easy to scam people nowadays, these are the sorts who fall for ponzi schemes, time shares etc, they cant strike out on their own, they have to belong to something,a club etc even though its ripping them off blind, its a sort of comfort to them against a nasty wasty world of change they're petrified of. Just read their responses to brexit- "I feel a sense of bereavement" "Im horrified at the result" They've basically been mollycoddled all their life surrounded by people who shape their views, brexit happens and they run round like headless chickens. |

Frankly its hard Brexit or no Brexit.

And you think one country changing its immigration policy is going to have an impact on world population? Otherwise that site is irrelevant.

It is the same with pollution, just because the rest of the world might produce more pollution, doesn't mean we should if we can help it. We should be leading by example. Showing how a low population density makes things better. |
