That looks like a denial to me, but maybe the words "vehemently denied" mean something else to you.
They havent denied an offer was made - merely that they did not accept one for the reason stated.

The issue is perhaps more was an offer made and who made it.

Perhaps you would like to get on the phone and ask them to answer, what with your alleged Green contacts and all ............
Is this baiting? What Green Party contacts? Who has alleged I have these contacts?

I'm a member of the SGP, not the GP (E&W), so why would I have any information about this apart from what's in the press.

Ask the mods, but the answer I would expect you to get is ...

... no it is not baiting. You (Smudges dad) comment in a number of your posts how you are a scottish green supporter. So its reasonable to assume you have contacts with them whether it is just putting a cross on their ballot paper occasionally, or more formal contacts

Has anyone noticed Ms Olney doing the rounds of the media to expand on her magnificent victory and humungous mandate yet? I haven't heard anything at all of or from her since last Friday, just wondered if anyone else had.
Presumably she spent the weekend preparing for her new job, which she started yesterday, including spending time with her two young children who she'll have barely seen during peak campaigning.

Here she is getting sworn in. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-38212453

She's also sitting next to Caroline Lucas as she asks a question in Parliament. New MPs are not allowed to ask questions until they've given their scheduled maiden speech, before you wonder why she's not done that yet.

What did you do at the weekend?

She's probably saying thank you to Lucas for not fielding a candidate against her to allow her to win. Don't suppose you saw her slipping a brown envelope to Lucas did you?

The corrupt BBC only showed the top of her head, so we can probably presume this was so we couldn't see it. It's a disgrace!

...because he's so upset that a Brexit Tory, which is what Zac Goldsmith is, didn't win. What a prickly little cry baby he is.

He's commenting on a potentially serious case of electoral fraud, and your happy with that?

I wouldn't say electoral fraud.

But if there are wealthy people out there seeking to bribe major parties like the Greens not to stand in an election it is a serious matter. Cos the Greens have not denied an approach was made merely they didn't accept it.

And given the by election was about Heathrow and the climate issues associated it's very odd they decided to stand down anyway as Richmond is the sort of area with great potential for Green voting which doesn't really apply to UKIP there.

Potentially serious, potentially fictional. So far, not a scrap of evidence to judge either way.

But we live in a post fact world, so who needs evidence?

They haven't denied an offer was made. And in an election where they would be expected to score well on green issues they decide not to field a candidate. It needs investigating to find out the truth.

Thank you, I know about maiden speeches etc. However when there's a new MP, eecially one in an 'election upset' the national and local media descend like locusts and want interviews, sound bites etc straight away. In fact they're usually waiting for the new person and trail them until they get what they want. It happens all the time. So I was wondering if apart from her disaster with talk radio anyone else managed to get a few words out of her and whether it made more sense,
