What was the turnout in May 2015? Given the demographic I'd expect it to be high even though it was a very safe seat.
It was 76%

Andrew Neil is such a brazen brexiter.
He didn't much like some of the pertinent points made by the LibDem just then, hence shutting her down and belittling her.
No he didn't. She was delusional.

I've always thought that Andrew gives the best balance to any side on the political spectrum. He's a rarity for the BBC.

Bound to happen though. Some constituencies don't have 54% turnout even at GE!!

Neil is probably the best political broadcaster we have. He's deliberately provocative in that manner to politicians of all colours.

I don't like him. I find him sneering and touchy.
And I'd say the same if he was being like that to someone I didn't agree with too.

Oh I know but I was responding to a post about turnout in Labour constituencies being so low. They drop off from usually lower starting point.

Reports Labour may lose deposit in Richmond.

Yes, I heard that! Maybe the Tories should have run a remainer and an anti-Heathrow candidate against him?

I get the impression Zac believed he would walk it! Bet he regrets his decision if he does lose!

I think her prattling on about how the poor people of Richmond park living in their expensive houses were being ignored by the government was just a bit much.

Zac losing two elections in one year would be hilarious.

Perhaps the racism of his first campaign might have had a bearing in the second.

Well, I'm a Tory voter, but it would be wickedly delicious! Serves him right! Shouldn't be so arrogantly presumptive!

Certainly a big shift in the bookies odds too with Zac drifting badly.

This is all coming from Labour sources. Best to wait and see.

I'd agree. There'd be serious ego bruising there. He's such a prima dona.

I'm a bit shell-shocked if I'm honest.

No it wasn't Diane.

Gwynedd - remain
Ceredigion - remain
Vale of Glamorgan - remain
Monmouthshire - remain

None in London nor 'university cities'.

Not to mention the Scottish results.

You say he's balanced. He has not challenged any of the others yet.
He has been bashing Susan Kramer for 30+ minutes.

Well it is the stance of Lib Dems. They are doing an Iraq War making a significant difference between themselves and the main political parties. Worked for them then. Labour and Tory Peers out number Lib Dems.
