There's a rumour that Viceland is set to join BT from April 2017.

If true, BT really do seem on a mission to strengthen their TV service.

I can't see how adding Viceland could be viewed as strengthening any TV service, even one as poor as BT TV.

How is BT TV poor exactly? It provides a decent line-up of channels and services at a competitive price, over a useable delivery system that is about to get a major facelift. No, it isn't Sky Q or Virgin Media, but that's kind of the whole point.

I agree with you as I don't find BT TV poor. It may not have as many channels as Sky or Virgin but some of the channels on Sky and Virgin I may not watch anyway.
Ok don't watch some of the channels that BT offer but BT TV is a good price and as Jimmy says its line up of channels are fine.
Also come the start of next year all Youview boxes will be getting a major software update to improve service.
As for Viceland coming to BT TV next year it may be good for BT we will have to wait and see,

Darren

I'd be happy enough when BT TV get full suite of discovery channels, especially discovery history, yesterday, history and H2 are not what they used to be and haven't been for a while.

Will Iceland be attempting to sue the makers?

BT TV is far from poor... At least we don't have to be subjected to 150 shopping channels and Lord knows how many Pro-God channels..
