You are absolutely right about the photo... but it is obviously extremely difficult to find a torso picture of Gio - such a modest young man etc etc. Even if he has difficulties with buttons.

I am eternally grateful they did NOT find a Piers Morgan torso shot.

The remarks underneath.. a bit one-sided I agree. It's always going to be a bit one-sided as Gio has kept silent. Which is the right way to go.
Torso shot of Piers. Eek!!!! Need a picture of Gio to block that image out of my mind.

It will be interesting to see how Gio handles things in future. If I were him I would be keeping my private life private in future. Maybe of course he is already doing that.

To be fair Georgia has hardly run to the press either has she? Certainly not bad mouthed him in any way.

Loved the programme tonight about Len Goodman. It was great to see old clips. I particularly enjoyed bits of Series 1. Added bonus there was the odd glimpse of Gio too.

Not as far as I know. All that was publicly said was that they'd split and were moving on. Some people liked her far more than him, which is fair enough, and they're following her career and life closely on the Georgia thread. TBH I still don't quite understand the criticism he gets for the break up of the relationship with Georgia. I mean if he ended it then surely anyone who likes and admire Georgia would ultimately be happy that she's no longer with someone who doesn't feel as he should do about her and if she ended it then they'd respect her decision. But there you go..

That Daily Express poll is a bit weird. For a start Gleb has barely been on British TV in 2016 and Piers Morgan ? Anyway, I love Gio on the show but I don't fancy him so he's not my heartthrob. He did make this years Strictly more interesting than it could have been and it's a shame he and Laura were struck with rather bad luck. I so hope he sticks with the show, has a great tour and has a great year next year as he's my favourite pro.

Oh and look >>>>>> one of my all time fave smileys has made a return in time for the festivities So, Happy Christmas and New Year and happy new look DS to everyone.

I agree re their breakup. Relationships end, especially Strictly relationships. If it is not working for both people it has to end.

I hope Gio sticks with the show. We saw how good a dancer he is in the final. He and Katya were fantastic dancing the cha cha together. He is my favourite pro too.

Do not understand why Piers is even included in the poll. Very strange.

I have not meet either of them, but I think Georgia came across well on Strictly so he was lucky to have her in his first year.

I think he will be back next year and it will be interesting to see who he gets. I have to be honest I do think he has an ego and that affected his dance partnership this year, although they did also have some bad luck this year. So if I am going to support him again he is going to need a very likeable partner.

Last year I was not a fan of Giovanni. It was his partnership with Laura that made me a fan. I loved the chemistry they had on the dance floor. I was really sad when they went out of the competition.

I would expect Gio to be back next year as the pros were given two year contracts earlier this year - the fact that he has the Strictly tour, Strictly cruises and Donahey's weekends in 2017 all point to a return.

I would guess that Gorka will get a very good partner next year, in the way that Oti was paired with Danny after her short run with Anthony and his dodgy shoulder last year. Gio after two young partners I think is more likely to have a middle of the road contestant. And I tend to agree that sometimes Gio is very, very Italian and it doesn't always translate well in the UK - mostly it is charming but sometimes it can come across as a bit OTT. I remember thinking that Artem, who I really liked, could be a bit too 'Russian' at times.

I so hope he sticks with the show, has a great tour and has a great year next year as he's my favourite pro.
Pretzel - I really hope he gets someone likeable next year too - I just enjoy watching the show more when the partherships look like they are enjoying themselves. I think that is why I unexpectedly loved Lesley and Anton, as well as Katya and Ed, so much this year.

Issfan - it was great - did you see 'the Russians' aka Pasha and Luba Mushtuk dancing the jive at Blackpool? With Gio watching wearing that 'favourite' grey cardigan. I thought actually it was a really nice end to the series, loved all the backstage bits and the sort of one-hour show they should do every year after the final. Len is wise to go at this point - on a high.

Happy Christmas everyone.

Have a lovely Christmas Day with your families.

Back to that important question 'Who was the hottest man on television in 2016?'

http://www.express.co.uk/showbiz/tv-...unks-2016-poll

I am sure you will all be relieved to know that the horrifying prospect of the Great British public preferring that gorgeous hunk of loveliness Piers Morgan over Gio in the Daily Express poll seems to have been averted.

Gio is currently on 33%. And in........drumroll........FIRST PLACE.

Piers Morgan is on 10%

(I have no idea when this poll ends.... but it is heading in the right direction)

Quite right too. Just think how high his vote would have been if we had chosen the photo.

Thank goodness he has managed to get above Piers, although how he was ever included in the first place confuses me

Merry Christmas everyone

Is there something you need to tell us??

And lovely Christmas pictures of Gio with his sister Angela and her fiance

Morning all

Just caught up with the Christmas Special this morning...what a treat that was! I had expected to see Gio larking about in a Christmas jumper and instead we get tails and a gorgeous, elegant number with Karen. I thought they danced beautifully together.

Another unexpected treat...a retweet! I don't tweet all that often. But my highlight of yesterday was watching my dog open her Christmas presents Hope everyone has a lovely Boxing Day

Haha! Actually I hadn't seen the smiley santa one before. Some entertaining comments beneath

I can't see Angela's pics, I guess you have to follow her Instagram? There are some lovely ones with his cousin on his Facebook.

Gio in tails... Tails Tails Tails Tails. That is all

It was a superb, classy, romantic routine and a definite surprise! I have not always been Karen Clifton's biggest fan, but my goodness her ballroom has improved leaps and bounds - her arms were simply beautiful in that dance. Tremendous

And as for Gio, in tails, holding a plate of cheese - well.... that is just far too many good things in combination (the cheese is the main attraction here, obviously )

You had a retweet for Christmas! Congratulations. I hope your dog enjoyed her Christmas presents.

Hello GoinGaga - if you ever find the answer to that question ..... I hope you share it!

The pro dancers look so great in tails... here is hoping for more routines just like that next year.
I can't see Angela's pics, I guess you have to follow her Instagram? There are some lovely ones with his cousin on his Facebook.
Yes... you might be right about her Instagram. It is Angela, her fiance and Gio in a couple of nice, smiley shots. Gio wearing his fave leather jacket and clearly has just had a Christmas haircut. Angela has captioned them 'I love you both' and 'my life'. It's been a while since Gio was back in Sicily - his sister was clearly very happy to see him again
Haha! Actually I hadn't seen the smiley santa one before. Some entertaining comments beneath
MissD - the comments were absolutely hilarious. Quite a few ladies would have appreciated Santa Gio appearing under their it seems. Can't think why - it's an absolute mystery to me. Mind you, he is wearing a very nice hat. That is probably the explanation.

Happy Boxing Day everyone.

I'll be sure to! I'm sure we'd all love a Giovanni in our stockings for Xmas

Write to Santa now?
It surely can't be that simple, can it? If I go the extra mile and write it in Italian perhaps...
