'A surprise' could also mean 'we haven't figured out all the details... so everything is up in the air'.... It's a neat way of dealing with an interviewer who wants too much detail too early.
I think the storylines that tie the dances together are quite simple things.. so you just have to stick in a random cafe scene - or rainshower complete with umbrellas
- and you are there. Or indeed, a White Christmas
