YouTube views

I was just looking at the X factors YouTube account and it's interesting looking at the views.

Saara has over 882k views from the winner takes it all and over 513k views from her second song.

Now if you look at the rest of the videos from last night everyone else has only just over 100k views, except Matt who has just below 200k views!

This shows how much interest and popularity Saara is gaining compared to everyone else! I don't know if anyone has highlighted YouTube views before and if they tend to reflect the results but could this mean Saara is heading fir a win???

Thoughts?

4th impact last year has ridiculous numbers on YouTube but were never going to win

Unfortunately the majority of Saara's views could be from her fans in Finland but she usually has well over twice as much as everyone else.

Interesting! I actually don't even remember them... I barely remever much anyone from last year!

Are there any if examples of people getting high views and not winning?

Facebook likes tend to be a better indicator and Saara has topped them for the first time this week.

Though I think The Winner Takes It All has reached this number of views much more quickly than any of her other performances.

Yeah I can see her Finland fans bumping the views up a fair bit I just hope it is a good sign!

Her performance last week was actually over 900,000 by this time so it's close but last weeks climbed higher in views quicker.

I seem to remember that they had a lot of very vocal support online coming from the Philappines talking them up, voting in Polls etc, from people that ultimately couldn't vote in the Final. Saara clearly has a lot of support coming from Finland where she is already famous, and if the Top Bods manage to stop those people wangling a way to vote for her, a lot of her apparent popularity will fall away at the end in a similar way.

She gets some views from Finland, but considering there's only 6 million population total in Finland, there's no way she'd get 500k+ views from Finland alone.

One of the biggest artists in Finland (singing in Finnish so no abroad fans) gets 2.5mil views in youtube in 8 months for his music videos. Saara's popular here now, but not popular enough to command over half a million views in just a few days.

Yeah and the population of The Phillipines is over 100 million! Hardly right comparing Finnish fans watching this vs 4th Impact!

The point was: viewers looking at Polls and watching the betting may have thought 4th Impact had a very good chance of winning, whereas they actually had a very little chance of winning really, once all the outside-of-the-UK support had been removed. I am suggesting that the same thing *might* happen with Saara. She is clearly in the Top 3 as it stands, but I think that's a bit false. I mean, just look at the Polls; are we seriously to believe that she is consistently getting twice the amount of (genuine UK fan) votes that likely-winner Matt is? Nah.

All that said, last year's winner and previous winners have had like 60% or 70% of the end-vote by themselves, and that isn't going to happen this year IMO so Saara could well be a serious contender.
