I rather liked the bit at the beginning of the second outing where they were skipping about looking like they were going to break into a round of The Gay Gordons. Sadly, they just went back to jumping and wafting.

My heart always sinks when I see bare feet ... it rarely ends well.

Nah, it was because it was Bacofoil Part II: Return of the Overambitious.

I've not Kevin's biggest fan at times but do like Karen and after reading this thread, felt I had to give it a watch and that it really couldn't be as bad as people were saying on here.

It really was. Both were at times leaping and gyrating around like demented seals. Total nonsense and the dancing didn't fit with the song. I have no idea what story they were they trying to tell.

That said, much like Bacofoil, I sort of want to watch it again!

I really didn't like it one bit it was erratic and the choreography was awful.

I didn't like it at all. It looked like they'd both been chucked out with no rehearsal and told to make something up!

I laughed out loud when I read this comment. It was hilarious.

Loved K's dress but that was all.

I wonder why K and K get to dance a lot when the singers are doing their thing. Shouldn't they all get an equal turn or do the producers pick their favourites?

Kevin has only done one dance to a singer this series. Karen has done more, but only because she is no longer competing in the competition, so she has more time to prepare these dances.

One has to wonder how one would prepare for that

It seems much more" I forgot we were dancing this week, oh hell, let's have a few whiskies and just go for it"

Either that or both shoved a load of ants down their pants and the resulting movements were the aforesaid "dance".

Nice to know what ants in your pants produces though, I know not to do that I would break several bones. Not that I ever planned to do anything like that.

Always education the BBC!

I would have thought ants down their pants would have produced more of a Charleston or a jive. This had more of a passing a kidney stone feel.

Gallstones ?

It's difficult to say really certainly what it wasn't was a joyous experience for anyone concerned.

Its this new modern dance or whatever its called . It all looks the same . Girl in bare feet with a floaty airy fairy dress , man in an open white floaty shirt
They look like angsty teens running frantically about , girl runs away , boy pullls het back . Drama ensues , girl pulls away and down on her knees and wails . Boys runs to het in floaty shirt and lifts her up . Girls wraps her legs around his hips and the both look like they have awful heartburn . Lie on floor exhausted . End

Except they were in dark blue ( or my tele really is on the blink) perhaps that's why there was the need for added ants and bodily stones.

It would have worked even better without Kevin and Karen...

Your description is funny and partly true. But I was lucky enough to see some outstanding pieces of modern choreography. What's interesting, all the best dancers in them had years of rigorous classical ballet training behind them...
