Just jumping around there, not the same as with Katya.

According to that second link, Judge Rinder isn't in the quarter finals, but Danny Mack is - twice. As if he needs a second chance!!!

I have just watched Ed's and Katya's Salsa again. Loved it. I enjoyed and made me laugh also. I do not think when the judges commented they did not give any credit for the lifts. Oh I will miss them on Saturday, it will not be the same.

I enjoyed him thoroughly on Strictly.”

Oh wow didn't even no he had a stutter
To go on strictly and even become a politician...he has done really well.

So I guess I was a bit biased and did not expect him to be so nice, with a great sense of humour and so much fun to watch. This man was a serious politician with a wife who was one of the contenders for the current Labour leadership,

I take it out right wing lol?
Off subject by a Thatcherite lol?

Some members of the Labour Party would call her right wing or neo-liberal, but she is definitely way to the left of the Conservatives. I don't think the label Blairite would be fair though. Ed is definitely not a Blairite, he was Gordon Browns right-hand man.
who, me?

He was once mercilessly mocked when responding to a Budget speech as Shadow Chancellor by rowdy Tories on the other benches. I know the HoC is a combative place but it was shameful behaviour from them.

He's a patron of the British Stammering Association. You can read his speech about it here: http://www.stammering.org/speaking-o...mes-bsa-patron

If you watch any of his Strictly interviews back, you'll notice the occasional pause when he's being interviewed. He's not thinking of what to say: he's controlling the stammer.

Much preferred Ed's dance to Rob's, which I found stiff and not very attractive to watch, but I knew once Ed was in the dance off, the judges would not save him - would love to know which one of them got the most public votes.

I am so going to miss him.

http://www.dailypost.co.uk/whats-on/...erves-12221853 “I’m a fan of what he is doing,” he says. “The show is a dance competition but it is also entertainment.

“Your job is to entertain and that is exactly what Ed and Katya have been doing. But they have been doing much more than that, Ed has been improving each week.

I'll miss both from the competition.

Wasn't a fan of Ed Balls in politics at all but he really has came across brilliantly since the last election and especially on Strictly. While he was fun, he clearly did put the effort in and did improve and took any criticism or jokes very well.
Also unlike some 'comedy contestants' you could always tell what his dances were meant to be.
He really has connected with viewers.

Katya too has been a revelation. You can see Ed appreciated her teaching and that she appreciated the effort he put in too. She's taken being given a relative duffer (no offence intended to Ed but he was never going to be getting 40) in her first year in good grace and managed to produce routines that are both fun but also include quite a bit of dance content and she genuinely comes across as a lovely person.

My favourite two partnerships this year have been Ed & Katya and Danny & Oti and while both are different couples, both have made Strictly for me this year.

Ed has been a joy to watch and as for Katya, someone should give her a medal or a peerage or something. The girl must have nerves of steel!

Saturday nights will be duller without them

They brought something very special to the show and it was poorer without them.

I didn't bother to watch, sadly, no longer interested with their departure.

Missed them tonight but also secretly pleased that they were voted out last week.

Judge Rinder seemed very isolated in ability; technique and performance tonight and i would have hated Ed and Katya to have felt that pressure. The abandoned joy of dance and performance was a huge part of the charm of Balls and Rinder!!

Love Ed!!!

Ed was very brave to go into politics, which requires so much public speaking, with a stammer. I am afflicted myself with a similar stammer to Ed's in that I can control it for the most part and many/most people wouldn't even realise that I have a stammer at all. However, before every talk I ever deliver I become extremely nervous, not because I'm not in command of my subject, but because I am terrified I won't get the words out. It happened once, years ago, when I was doing a presentation for my nursing course and I still feel mortified by the memory. Like Ed, I've learned to alter my sentence structure if I'm faced with a challenging word - pauses are more acceptable than stuttering.

I missed Ed and Katya tonight but I'm also relieved that they weren't dancing so that they wouldn't be criticised and faced with all the calls for them to quit etc

I decided to give my 3 online votes to Louise (2) and Ore but I don't really mind who wins as long as it's not Robert Rinder.

I missed them tonight as well, the show wasn't the same without them.

Like other posters on here I'm losing interest in Strictly and I've watched since day one. I NEVER watch it live now most of the filler is tedious and embarrassing in my opinion.

Ed was the one I looked forward to dancing every week so I'm not sure if I'll continue watching this series.
