Maybe if the group cha cha hadn't taken place, Ed and Katya would have been in the final.

Thanks for posting this. Ed humanised MPs in a way that Anne and Edwinia never did. This article makes me
Ike Yvette a bit and I loathed her more tha Ed pre-competition.

All those adverts for perfumes and cosmetics and shampoo with the "sexy "smouldering" models.
Naff aren't they.
If you imagine Ed is there doing the flouncing, they are massively improved.
Try it.

This is great. Especially useful if the couple in a boat or in a snowy scene, taking their jackets off, advertising after shave are involved. The one with a man singing in Italian.

Yeah, and maybe if they had run around tripping up danny/louise/ore/ in the same dance, multi millions would have voted for them!
Anyway, big up to katya for mentioning the looooong forgotten melvin on tonight's ITT...

Quite so, supping tea with her pinkie raised.

Ed's rumba was a much needed tonic in a time of desperation.

I haven't seen it.

This last couple of weeks I've teetered between deciding I will NEVER come back here again then finding myself back here, then getting in knots spitting venom at the local Planning Authority for permitting the removal of a 200 year old hedgerow, then deciding I'm too bloody tired to be bothered with any of it, opening another bottle of grog and blowing my brains out with rock music which is decidedly unsuitable for a woman of my age.

So where's this glimpse of his rumba, then?

I identify with much of what you write fuchsia and I'm sorry you've had a difficult time. You're one of my favourite posters so please stay.

On the App thread someone posted him doing some of the steps in his kitchen. You don't need to see it really to know it would have been fab though. Ed would have been unapologetically camp, Katya would have loved him in that and the warmth between them would have oozed ...

Oh thanks a bunch, pal - I feel sooo much better for knowing that.

I'm not having a difficult time - just cheesed off. I hate the local authority. They've sanctioned ripping out what is designated as an 'important' hedgerow in our village because the legislation governing ancient hedgerows is in the process of being updated. It's a home for several species of red listed birds and is a recognised 'corridor' for bats which are resident in the fields beyond. Oh - and the forum is so bloody shrill and hysterical and I think I'd do myself a favour if I made myself a cup of tea but I might just go and open a bottle of something else, if there is one. Could well finish up swigging Tabasco sauce if nothing else makes itself evident.

Forum's a heap of crap though, innit?

Perhaps some of this convo would be better by PM! But you sound in a difficult place given your strength of feeling and I recognise this. Ed and Katya were a fine couple. Handsome, charismatic, funny and brilliantly quirky. For a while they fulfilled the dreams of those who wish for a new world order based upon such qualities. The only thing better than the intended rumba would have been a rumba to Vanilla Fudge's You Keep Me Hangin' On ... I suspect we like similar music. If you wanna drink Tabasco then check out Ladytron, Burning Up

Stick around fuchsia, I/we need you!

Edit: Ore's the only worth voting for. I wish he could do an Arthur Lee or Jimi Hendrix. Imagine an AT to one of their songs ...

He is. I'd rather see him larruping round the dance floor to LA Woman and giving two fingers to the lot of 'em.

Yup, I agree. He's the only real dance novice left in. I also love Claudia and would be happy to see her win.

The other two, well, I'm spitting feathers that people with training in musical arts are even in the programme, let alone in the final, which was of course inevitable. Strictly has lost all credibility for me and has become boring and predictable. Sorry.

What an insightful reply. Did it take you long to come up with that?

Chatting after the group performance, Ed said: "Everyone from 70-year-olds to 7-year-olds now shout at me in the street to perform Gangnam Style.
