I think they'd judge it based on the dancing.
Why? Because when I read in the spoiler thread two weeks ago that Greg was in the dance off against Daisy, I was really astounded. Not because they were the ones in the bottom two, but because Greg had been saved. In my view, he'd been a weaker dancer than Daisy throughout the series, and the judges marks generally supported this.
But when I saw the dance off, it was clear that Greg was better on the night, and they saved the right person. So I'd trust them to save the right person in the dance off, whoever that person happens to be.
You've also got to ask: why would they pick someone who wasn't the better dancer? How do they gain from having Ore in the final instead of Claudia (or vice versa)? There is no benefit at all, just their opinions as to what constitutes a better dance – which sometimes varies among themselves.

This exactly! You could be describing my own reactions to the Greg / Daisy DO. It was a useful moment as a correction to our collective instinct to judge ahead of seeing (and sometimes, in some cases, despite seeing ).

I'm happy to trust the judges. Especially since so little actually rides on it

An Ore v Claudia dance-off would mean a Jo Clifton Foxtrot v external choreographer Salsa. It is.... difficult... to see Len going for the Salsa if it came down to it.

The Salsa routines this year have been consistently unlucky, weird or just plain messy - I worry for Claudia. A.J. does not necessarily have the experience to take a lift-tastic salsa suggestion from an external and make it into something with judge and viewer appeal.

So I think Ore would be the survivor. I am rather hoping that isn't the Bottom 2 next week though.
