Oh but this is Louise, any old excuse to put her in the wrong. It's not her fault if someting isn't right. They all do illegal lifts. But they don't get mentioned.
If they got 10's they would

What great fun it is to peruse this forum every day and find the same 15-20 posters harping on about KFG and Louise being boring, beige, bland, vanilla, unexciting, favoured by the music, favoured by the dances, favoured by the judges, related to the judges, wearer of awful hats, made a lift in a dance, ate a banana that wasn't free trade....

I find these 15-20 people boring, repetitive, unhinged, biased, sad, with too much time on their hands, taking too much time concerning themselves over a RTV show....

Louise is a likable 42 year old woman, mother of 2 and the second best dancer in this series of SCD.

I'm off to start a thread entitled "How did Danny get 40 for his Charleston when a part of it was out of sync ? " ......or maybe I'll find something better to do.
Lovely post, what about Claudia sover marking for her jive last week. Not many mentioned that but, went on and on about no tens for her this week.
I feel sorry for Louise, She and Kevin are good together but some are out to burst her bubble. Are they Danny supporters I wonder?

I'm not a Danny voter and I think Louise is lovely plus is a good dancer. There does, seem to be preferential treatment given to Kevin, though. I think that pushing him forward as a big star, of SCD even though he's obviously a good dancer , does no one including him, any favours. It works better when the public decides who they like a lot, rather than producers deciding.

Yes, I know he won a Radio Times poll.

For the people who think that people keep criticizing " Louise and Kevin " ONLY here, just go and take a look at the comments on her and Kevin waltz on strictly Facebook. ...All the top comments with hundreds of likes are mentioning : Lift that the judges didn't mention, overmarked, shouldn't have won the cha cha challenge. ... so it's not only DS who sees these things.

I honestly don't see her winning, whatever the case may be : it's between Danny, the judge and Claudia IMO. Claudia is the biggest threat of Danny ; people have really rallied behind her; especially after her AT which deserved at least one 10.[/QUOTE ]

Thanks for this.I'm not on F.B.Hopefully then, we are not the only ones who feel St Kevin of Grimsby is over-marked
Yes. Strictly Facebook, Strictly blog on the bbc website even the guardian strictly blog...all echoed those comments (most of the top comments ) so I fail to understand why some people think that it's ONLY this forum who criticize Louise and Kevin ( Just like Danny being a ringer is also discussed in these places) .

I would copy and paste the comments but they are too long. It really is a misconception to think that only DS has something against them. I dont even think that posters here necessarily have something against them; maybe a minority but not most. Let me also add that they do have a lot of supporters out there but I am just trying to give another perspective.

There has been overmarking all over the shop this series and wouldn't you say Claudia was overmarked for her jive?
Yes, I know. I never say there wasnt
Yes Claudia was; even my favorite Danny was for his charleston, I will admit that. The thing is that there is a sense that compared to others, she has been overmarked way more than others .

The idea that the strongest (or on some occasions the second strongest) female contestant is an overmarked Teachers Pet and either "wet" or "shark-eyed/desperate to win" has been a thing in literally every series of this show I can remember apart from Series 9 and Series 12. T'aint anythnig special or specific about Louise.

She's also a former dance show judge, alongside Nigel Lythgoe and Arlene Phillips. On which basis I shall be disappointed if I don't get at least one of Ashley Banjo, Kimberley Wyatt and Adam Garcia as a contestant next year.

And if Kimberley pulls the "I'm just a suburban mum" act I shall feel perfectly justified in pointing out that she too is being just a tad disingenuous.

I honestly didn't think she was quite at their level dancing wise, have you seen her videos?

Bit like Alesha being a judge on strictly I imagine.

Don't be silly, just because she didn't get marked down for an illegal lift doesn't mean it's a fix. You have no more evidence of a fix than any of the other ridiculous conspiracy theories flying around here, let alone any rationale for there being any sort of fix in the first place.

Yes, I spotted the illegal lift, looked to me as if she was meant to keep her foot on the ground but failed to do so. It's quite likely the judges didn't spot it - it was near the end of the dance so they were probably keying in their scores or writing notes. Or they'd already submitted their score before that happened. Or they cut her some slack because they viewed it as an unintentional lift.

Doesn't change the fact I thought she was overmarked, but conspiracy? No.
I noticed it definitely although it may have just been her coming off the floor because he was spinning her. But what narked me was that back in the day Len basically got rid of Pixie and Trent for a so-called "illegal" lift and always makes a FUSS about them. So this time I felt it was inappropriate not to say inconsistent, not to at least complain about it!

I think in Series 3 Zoe actually managed to be both.

Just watching ITT and they showed a bit of Louise and KFG rehearsal, and the lift was in that too. So not a mistake. #justsaying.

Sorry fredster but where were you last week? Claudia was slaughtered on here and elsewhere for being overmarked.

Louise's dance included an illegal jump and it wasn't picked up by the judges so she was overmarked. I'm a Claudia supporter but I don't mind Louise but she has been favoured a lot imo.

I was shocked to see there was a lift in Louise and Kevin's waltz this week and the part that shocked me was when it still received three 10's despite the rule break!
I looked at it a few times and it definitely happened, both Louise feet left the ground on one of the spins - if you want to look at the youtube clip it happens towards the end of their dance around minute 3.00 (it's long because of the intro being included).
And the BBC come out and say there is no way there is any fixing going on the judges vote independently - makes a joke of it all really
yes, commented on it when giving my scores - thought I was going mad as no one else had commented on it, they definitely appear to be the favourites

Loads said that Claudia was over-marked last week. Part of why so many of us were annoyed she got no 10s this week was because her brilliant performance got the exact same score as her messy jive 7 days prior!

If people enjoy Louise, good for you. I don't and am sick of her being overrated by the judges. If none of them spotted that illegal lift then they must need glasses considering how many viewers saw it, in spite of dodgy camera angles etc. They ignored it on purpose I'm confident, and that stinks.

What I thought I saw was a hop type thing but I thought her feet left the floor but I just ignored it, but it wasn't quite perfect anyway.

Thanks. This is the one I had to rewind a few times and watch, the jury is still out on whether the dust from Kara's shoes were touching the floor.

Totally agree.

Did Claudia get 10s for Jive?? No.
No but 9's were seriously over-marking her anyway, and the judges seemed to imply that the only reason she wasn't given 10's was because of the mistakes, not because there were lifts.

Besides the original comment was nothing about the score. It was about how if Claudia had lifts the judges would be all over it- not true seeing as there were lifts in her Jive and nothing was said.

Isn't this like Louise looking down during the CCC thingy, the judges conveniently don't see it?

Forget the 'at least one of' part - I'm feeling the lack of Pasha and Gorka time this series and want ringers for Katya and Natalie, so book them all for next year plus another female ringer too please

Oh, so it's an illegal jump now is it? Have we seen sense on the absurd notion that it was a lift at last? Trouble is there is no rule against that much as it may offend the purists.

I think other than Danny, Greg and Ed, all the others were overmarked that week.
I was Laura's supporter, now supporting Claudia and I did say that Claudia made the same mistakes in the DO and based on the DO, the judges should have eliminated Claudia. I don't blindly defend anyone.

IMO, Louise has been overmarked much more than any other celeb.
