I think they have some similarities but I actually prefer Diana because she had a more interesting voice (even though she didn't use it very well sometimes). I also think she had a bit more personality come across on the screens. They're both good but just wondered what you guys thought?

Neither both were/are annoying AF with the put on quirky vocal - Diana much worse than Emily though - Diana was real bad tho Emily isn't so grating
I actually really liked Diana Vickers.
I just can't get used to Emily, though. Her voice is so childish and "not ready". She might be more appealing in 10 years.

Diana was the better singer, although surprisingly I wasn't a massive fan of hers because I felt that she always got given shoddy song choices that never really suited her Indie type of sound.
The only song that was fitting for her because you can indiefy it was White Flag.

Diana! I liked the tone of her voice.. Emily's straining her voice so much, it's getting weaker and weaker, you can barely hear her. She should have gone week 6 instead of Sam!!

I liked Diana, I always remember her for the yodel and the fact she performed every week barefoot.

Disco night was the worst voting of this series as neither act deserved to lose to Emily in the vote.
Diana by miles, she actually had a decent voice with an interesting tone. She also had a great personality.

I really wanted to like Emily, but she just hasn't worked for me during the live shows. Creep was a solid performance, but that's about it. I think a lot of it is to do with Cowell's terrible mentoring.

Her auditions were spot on, and I actually think the song choices for her were great with the exception of week eight. She nailed it week 1 - 4, but obviously fell apart once she got ill.
There were obvious problems with Yellow and Patience in week six and seven, but they were still decent performances and she still managed to outperform Daniel, Eoghan and arguably Rachel at that point who just wasn't delivering/awful song choices.
Week eight was a terrible week for her, crap song choices and seemed to be getting worse rather than better. I was surprised she managed to get through, although there was only about 1% between her and Ruth.
Girlfriend and White Flag were much better choices and she seemed to be getting back to her old self again, and she obviously deserved to go to the final over Eoghan (who didn't?!), but by that point it was too late.

Like above Diana is my favourite contestant ever bar none - She really paved the way for 'unique' singers like Cher,Janet,Abi,Emily etc.

diana is definitely in my top 3 contestants of all time along with rebecca ferguson and ella henderson. both her albums are great and i'm glad she's made a success of herself on the stage.
Neither of them do it for me. Diana was neither as good or bad as her fans/haters claimed, she was just average. Emily is okay, but dull.
