LCD horizontal black lines
Hi Everyone,
I have a 6 years old Sony LCD TV that is now showing 8 thin horizontal lines on the bottom quarter on the panel, I suppose the TV is on its way to failing! Just out of curiosity what is the issue and will it get worse or stablies as the picture overall is still excellent? Best Mark |

Best Mark If you're 'happy' with the current picture, it might stay just like that for years. |

It's almost certainly the LCD panel that's failing, so not worth repairing - even assuming a replacement panel was still available?.

The thing that is annoying me about new 32" TV's is the lack of HDMI inputs in most cases just two, not everyone wants a large 40"+ screen especially in a small living room! Oh well I suppose I would need to purchase a HDMI switcher! |
