LOL!! Can you even imagine?! No way. Unfortunately for Sean though, I think Brian is a ladies man.

I wonder if Sean will end up being a bit like Norris, in that he remains single? Sean has no luck with men and he seems somewhat sexless, would it be a stretch of the imagination to have him as a spinster / old maid type character? That said, it's unusual for Sean to have a storyline where his sexuality isn't the main focus, so what they'd do with him I don't know?!

I agree with Sean becoming a Norris type character who is permanently single. Sean doesn't work as part of a couple as proven by all his relationships with Marcus and Billy. Both Marcus and Billy were dull, boring and lifeless when with Sean but thrived as characters when separated from him. They also had much more chemistry with other people. Sean is also completely unbearable and unlikeable when he's in a relationship but tolerable when single.

No, if Sean gets with anyone it will be Norris

Now about Brian, is it just me or is Kate Oates trying to turn him into Doug from Emmerdale? He seems really annoying since he came back and I don't remember him being like that the first time around.

I can't stand Brian any more than I can stand Doug, but it looks as if
Spoiler
Cathy'sEvenWorseThanHerSister, LochNessa is coming back and will set her (short)sights on Brian.

Oh well, they'd both spoil another pair as my old mum used to say.

Dunno - we can only pray it's short term and she takes Cathy away with her when she goes again.

Brian was always this annoying. It's very in keeping with his character. What I find odd is that he used to be the Head Teacher (I think?) of Simon and Amy's school, Bessie Street yet now he's babbling on about being a recycling czar?!

There was talk at one of him and Julie getting Freds old butchers and turning into a grocers, I would have preferred that tbh, as I think Brian has that air about him, he'd be good behind a counter spouting his rubbish to customers like Fred used to and Alf before him.

Yes. With Roy doubting their relationship I cannot see Cathy staying on the show, what would there be left for her to do and where would she stay?

It's a shame they've made Cathy so unlikeable as the actress is fantastic. She's been in tons of stuff and always been amazing so she'll be a loss to the show if she goes, the writers have wasted an opportunity there.

I thought she was likable at first but there has been a change like when she was mad at Alex for being her husband's son. That was really low, but I think they did that to give Roy a valid reason for doubting their relationship.

Yes Melanie Hill is a great actress I've loved her in everything I've seen her in up until now. I just cannot stand the character of Cathy I find her insufferable. Roy appears to be getting cold feet about the wedding now, I hope that is the writers realising what a disaster this pairing has been and plan to write Cathy out. Nothing against the actress but the character has been a complete failure in my opinion.

I have to agree that Melanie Hill plays strong, feisty and quite down trodden character really well. She's proper working class, and would have suited playing maybe Kylie's mother or even Callums! I don't enjoy her ditsy.

For starters if we have to put up with Sean as an "old maid" type character, does that mean that we have years of him to come yet??!!
Secondly, I know I'm in the minority here but I like Cathy and I also liked Nessa too. Hope they both stick around for a while yet. Maybe Cathy just needs to get away from oddball Roy.

You must not have read ONJ's spoiler then Sean is 100x better than the person Brian will be paired with.

Oh, I have seen it.

Going by the theme of this thread, Sean should be paired of with her, and not Brian.

Sean is not the best character in Corrie. A bit overpowering. Me, Me, Me all the time!

Sean is a victim of the scripts

Not me. Sean is Maria's next project. She has a thing for gay men.
