Morning chaps! "Condemned"? I think you're taking things a little too personally. More a realistic assessment of Caroline's application VS ofcom's criteria for awwarding a community license. As Eitshal said further up the thread, the 'social gain' criteria are difficult to quantify within the application.
What defines an anorak? Someone with a passion or love for something, in this case radio, of course we all know how the term was born - it's not a term of abuse!
I'm well aware of Caroline's place in popular culture, but I think you need to accept that Caroline's relevance in today's radio market is limited, as the application states, to a specific community of interest.
To the best of my knowledge Caroline is not an officially registered religion, yet, but based on the level of vitriol thus far, perhaps that could be an avenue to explore if this application fails.
Let me restate: I hope it doesn't fail and ofcom dishes out 5kw+ on a low frequency. What's not to like?
