Oven temp. conversion lists?
Hi,
I'm (Again) thinking about getting a combo microwave oven.. I've had a quick look online and while it'll say "2100 Watts" for the grill/oven power, I can't find anywhere that'll convert that to a gas mark or equivalent.. Any clues? Thanks! |

I don't think there'll be any reliable conversion between watts and gas marks for electric ovens. You need to find out the temperature of the oven and then convert that to gas marks:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gas_mark And I don't think there's any meaningful conversion between gas marks and a microwave oven because they work in such completely different ways. That's why food packaging usually has different cooking instructions for microwaves and normal ovens. |
