I don't really agree with a lot of these comparisons as Ruth / Sam Bailey / Andrea all just stand there singing. Their voices are incredible but they stop there. All three probably are vocally a little bit more talented than Saara, but they focus all of their effort on the vocals, so it's not surprising.

I would feel it would be more appropriate to compare Saara to acts that dance and have more stage presence. In that field she is clearly top of the line in vocal ability.

The thing is, Saara's at her best when she's not moving much. Examples are her first audition, the judge's house, Let it Go and at the piano singing The Winner Takes it All. Moving around a lot means that you can't fully concentrate on keeping the right pitch, plus, you need to inhale more.

And when you compare to acts that move a lot, She destroys the competition. Not sure if enough credit is given to how well she holds up her voice when going through all the moves.

The producers with their experience probably do realize this and might be the reason why they've 180'd on Saara. Probably not every day that they have someone that's so workable.

Yeah, Saara is very good at singing when she's dancing around. I was just saying that she's at her best when she's not moving much. Anyway, she's great at what she does. I think it's very telling that her videos on the X Factor YouTube channel are steaming ahead of the other contestants.

She put's 5AM to shame! Saara can sing and dance at the same time. I know it is quite hard to sing/dance around the stage, more so if your a woman wearing heels.

Andrea was a good singer but he hasn't really had a career since and that's because you need more than singing talent which Saara has the stage craft etc, no one really cares for big ballad divas anymore
That's a great point actually and I feel Saara's showmanship is often overlooked.

This comments probably a bit off topic to the opening post, however in my view the judges, contestants, producers didn't take Saara seriously.

It has only been this past couple of weeks where people are starting to see what she can do, the judges reaction to Saara being in the semi final was one of shock, especially Sharon Osbourne.

In reference to the post you couldn't really compare the two, she has more stage presence than Andrea did.

Just to clarify that I didn't liken them in terms of their talent or performances. Guess some only read the thread title but not the post content.

Yeah, Saara definitely belongs on the stage. She really does have a lot of stage presence, I agree.

Similar.

She won't win because she is foreign. Will be runner up or third.

Saara is much more likeable and is more versatile in her performances, I agree with the poster that said she's more of the Luke Friend of the series in regards to her journey but obviously she's a stronger vocalist than Luke was during his series.
I don't know if it's personal preference kicking in here, but Luke vocally would wipe the floor with everyone in this series like he did in his own series.

Luke was the one I enjoyed the most in Series 10 and I was disappointed that he wasn't in the final 2. His performance of 'Run' in the sing off in the quarter final is definitely one of the best that has ever happened on the show IMO

Saara is better singer than Andrea. She's AMAZING as Andrea was great. Andrea was 4th as I think Saara might just win. Saara to win!

Wasn't he third behind Fleur and Ben?

He sang with Ella in the final.

[quote=big bang theory;84722059]Andrea faced a much tougher series with better talent (minus Fleur) getting into his top 4.

Talent is subjective. Andrea was unquestionably a better vocalist, but I found him awkward to watch and his performances (bar Chandelier) were dated. I found Fleur a far more talented performer, and the better complete package. Andrea was lucky to even make it into the final 4, as he had less votes than Stevi the week he left.

Funny though someone on here said Fleur had shown a higher octave range than Andrea he was just under her so it's quite interesting that people say he was the better singer when vocal coaches said otherwise I'm not saying it's gospel truth she's better just a professional opinion that was shared - but then it could be down to technique and Breath control and tone which can make someone sound better than someone else but in actual fact they aren't regarding a technical level !

Talent comes in all forms in the music industry anyway performing, dancing, singing, rapping Fleur could do all that so how is she not talented? Confused.com
