Arrangements seen before

Matt sang the exact same arrangement of Alive as Chloe Castro did in this year's The Voice UK.
And Matt was rubbish.
He exposed himself but actually having a shallow vocal range since he couldn't just pluck out falsetto for the higher parts of the song.
He ducked low in many parts of the song to ensure he held the notes.

(Loved Chloe's performance and stage attitude. But felt that Matt was told to copy what had worked on another show, rather than do anything different/risky)

It didn't feel to me watching like a song a man can sing convincingly. I know Sia wrote and performed the original and the lyrics and arrangement seem to have a woman vocalist in mind.

A male singer when singing that song should think about maybe Rocking it up a little bit.

if he doesn't really rock up any of his music anyway why would he make an exception here?

So as not to be compared to the original version, and it's easier to Rock it up than turning it into a wannabe Darren Hayes scenario.

The beauty of Chloe's cover was the rawness and emotion. Matt's version didn't convey anything of the sort. And he couldn't make up for it with a technically excellent vocal, like Saara did.

That's Louis' vote in the bag then.
