Could you keep the fact you are having a baby a secret from the father?

I couldnt (if i was a woman that is).

Im not saying Denise doesnt have rights, but i do think Phil has the right to at least know what is going on.

With Phils track record of seeing his children as his property I'd be terrified he'd just take the poor mite away, never to be seen again!!

To be honest, yes, I could. If I was stupid enough to get pregnant by an abusive and intolerant a-hole like Philth, I would do my utmost to ensure he never found out. Why would I want to expose my kid to a lifetime of psychological trauma? No thanks.

In general terms, of course I would want the father to know, but Philth is the exception, he took Lexi off of Lola & everyone knows it, so she probably thinking of the welfare & future of her child, plus any idiot can see he has been a horrible Dad to Ben. The square is a small place, so they have seen it all going on.

*Shudders* at the thought of sleeping with Phil Mitchell.

If I was pregnant by a violent, sociopathic drunk I wouldn't even stay in the same country.😨

I agree with you.

It's already happened once before when Lisa kept it a secret that Phil was Louise's father until Sharon told him the truth in that storylione.

The kid is fecked whoever it has the unfortunate job of being brought up by.

Denise is a terminally miserable, jealous, and bitter woman, a known violent thug that beats young women, and a remorseless thieving alcoholic with no respect for the law.

Phil isn't much better.

At least with Mitchell the kid would have a chance at the magical money tree?

The thing is S that is a mothers job to protect their child from the minute they know it exists. Letting Phil have access to the child is akin to letting a toddler play in the street. Now they may not get knocked down or snatched but no woman in her right mind would take that chance. If it was any other man in the square I'd agree with you but in this case Phil's rights are very much secondary to the safety and happiness of the child.
