No time guesses or anything else, as we may or may not have a source with details of who wins the Christmas special.

Just a separate thread where the results can be discussed without spoiling things for those happy to wait until Christmas day.

It doesn't look as if we have a spoiler as I'm sure it would have been on this thread by now.

Sorry - folks: I PM'd Monaogg as I couldn't find this thread but she's obviously not around (she has a LIFE?????? Who knew! )

Confirmed result:

First place - Melvin & Janette
Second place - Frankie & Gorka

They both scored 40 but Melvin won the audience vote.

I'm so pleased to hear this. Well done to Melvin and Janette after a disappointing main series .

If this is the result was it a consolation pity win for his early exit this year

Unfortunately not. We haven't even quite got who was partnered with whom! Pamela was with Pasha, but she's not sure whether Ainsley or Gethin were with Chloe or Karen.

(Amateur mole, drafted in at the last minute! )

I find it difficult to believe Melvin could beat anyone out of those with the possible exception of Ainsley.

According to this

Ainsley with Karen and Gethin with Chloe.

Thank you for the spoiler

Really pleased for Melvin - I thought he had more potential than he was given credit for when he left so early. He was one, like Tameka, who I felt sorry for as they had both wanted to do the show for so long. I imagine he and Janette must've been putting in a lot of rehearsal since they found out they were doing the Christmas special.

Many thanks for posting result Jenni_Goldsmith

Also, can I just send massive thanks to all involved in sourcing moles on a weekly basis, for us impatient people (myself included) who like to know in advance. Well done!

Brilliant result. So pleased for Melvin who got such a raw deal at the beginning of the series.

Melvin was absolutely incredible, he really deserved it. It wasn't a pity win at all, he was by far the best dance!

That is the best news of all - great for Melvin who seemed an extremely nice guy. I hope his lovely Mum was in the audience
