EE: xtras

Who are all the xtras in the market, the cafe and at the Vic? Do they come in every day, or just once or twice a week, and they then film all the scenes in one go – to keep costs down. Rumour has it that all Vic scenes are filmed on Mondays – so that would be one of the days the extras come in of course - put on another coat/jacket or whatever, and walk around the square/market a bit or pop over to the cafe – and that’s a day’s work for them.

Are they just ordinary people earning a bit on the side? And of course being called in regularly, as they probably use the same ones, rather than having to train new ones all the time.

Yes mostly just people earning a bit extra. Think they come from an agency. They certainly have extras that are a bit above and they are used long term like the milkman.

There was a poster a while back who claimed to have worked as an extra on EE so he may pop up and answer all your questions

and one of the punters at the Vic - male, dark slightly curly hair, which is also slightly longish, age - useless with ages, but .. let me see - just around 50 I should think. He¨'s nearly always there, but can't remember him ever talking/hear his voice.

Tracey is a bit different as she was originally intended to be a full main character but for some reason never happened but she did say in an interview she lived on the coast, cornwall or sonewhere and used to just come up for filming when they needed her and it suited because she was a mum. Obviously she now has lines etc etc

This was in the mirror and not strictly sure how accurate it is for that reason http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/s...enders-7839202
