Alana - Bakery, so Al's not interested
Dillon - some camp design operation, so Al isn't going there |

Any of them can win -- no candidate is ahead of the field, though perhaps Jessica (emotions) and Frances (invariably loses) are starting to fall back. Sofiane and Jessica are both loose cannons but has anyone told Lord Sugar?
Trishna was my week zero pick but hers has been a solid rather than spectacular performance so far. I've voted for her but would not be overly surprised if one of the others wins. |

I think Courtney is a total waste of space but - for the reasons I have said before -he may well win which is a shame imo. |

Odd poll question - they could all win so seems a bit silly.
Personally I think its between Alana, Courtney and Trishna |

My hope is that it is Alana or Trishna but sadly neither will.

Believe Courtney will win. He has been very solid throughout, delivered a win as PM, and most importantly, not faced the firing line once. Whilst most others are in the last chance saloon, Courtney could probably afford a poor week 9/10 and remain in the process. He has also had a very good edit, receiving little if no criticism.
See my comments on the "Spoiler Thread 2016" for full predictions. |

My money's on Trishna (not literally). She is consistent and mostly able to keep her cool and remain professional.
I can't see any of the boys winning somehow. Though it's possible Courtney may surprise me. I can imagine Jessica or Grainne reaching the final. I think Jessica has ability but obviously is temperamental. If she can rein that in and direct her energy and passion productively she could do well. I do think Frances has been quite unfortunate to be on the losing team so often. I don't think most of those losses were down to her, but equally I don't think she has what it takes to be the overall winner. Sofiane is on borrowed time (he'll probably win now I said that!). |

Think Courtney is very underrated. He quietly gets the job done, and hardly ever makes mistakes. His calmness is perceived as being laid back, when in fact he's just in control of the situation.

I just haven't noticed him that much - admittedly probably through not paying close enough attention. (A couple of weeks ago when he said something like "I am now the one to beat", the reaction in our house was, "Who even are you?") But then it is often the ones who stay in the background earlier in the series who seem to come through later on and show their ability. So I will reserve judgement!

Alana seems to be improving. Courtney seems to come and go; maybe he is just tired or perhaps he is a real team player willing to do whatever it takes but not quite hiding his concern about the PM's business nous or even their sanity but there is a risk it will be seen as laziness. I'd be worried he was involved in the tickets fiasco at the aquarium though, unless it was all Grainne's fault.
As I have said in other posts in my job I have come across many Courtney's and they are all the same - useless. |

I was wrong. Reading and reflecting on the other answers here, it becomes clearer that not anyone can win. Instead, we have two groups:-
Can win: Alana, Courtney, Dillon and Trishna Losers: Frances, Grainne, Jessica and Sofiane. The losers group cannot win for these reasons:- Frances: always loses Grainne: too many mistakes, eg mermaidgate, over-booking then over-refunding tickets Jessica: emotionally unstable loose cannon Sofiane: emotionally stable loose cannon Which leaves four potential winners. Of those, Dillon is the one we know most about: his creativity and eye for design, weighed against his lack of timekeeping (such as in the advertising task where he spent all his time casting models) and inability to sell. Confessing the latter to Lord Sugar will not have helped his chances but if his business plan is in a creative industry and does not need Dillon to sell, then Dillon can win. Trishna has made no mistakes that I can remember but nor do any great triumphs spring to mind. I'd like to see Trishna win but she has the edit of someone who goes out in the interview round. Alana had a poor start to the process but has come back strongly. Courtney -- maybe. As I said earlier, maybe he is just tired. And what was he thinking in the buying task? I can forgive him for thinking SE2 was next to SE1 but when he told everyone SE2 was not shown on his map, that really ought to have been a clue. If Courtney can hang on through the next couple of tasks, then his existing business (although his plan might be completely different) looks as if it would appeal to Lord Sugar as it is in microcosm what Amstrad used to do -- think up products; manufacture in the Far East; sell. |

I often agree with many of your post but with regards to Courtney you are more charitable than I am.

I've been saying Courtney for a few weeks now, as I also think his business plan may be investment worthy.
On a personal level I think Trish is the most level headed, so she might have the "not flash but not risky" investment that will give her the second place spot. |

Most others would have been long gone - as he should have been. |

Just looking at who's left from the BBC's website
Alana - Food and thats never been something LS has been too interested in. Courtney - Novelty gifts not really I think LS's cup of tea. Dillon - Creative artsy sort of person, could be a good match for the other previous winners to give them some boost and all he needs is a computer with photoshop and a phone and job done. Grainne - Beauty and he's got a doctor for all that sort of thing on tap. Jessica - Fashion, these days its a very much of a meh with primark etc. Frances - Kids clothes, a bit like Jessica in that they grow out of them before you even walk out the door. Sofiane - Sales but in what he'd have to pick some sort of market to build a business with even if its just flogging sausages to greasy spoons. Trishna - another recruitment person? yep its easy money but he's already got that market sorted. The thing is while the 2 fashion peeps could do it he's not really interested by the looks of it sorting out international trade deals for stuff or large stock and he seems to want the stuff he can easily just walk in a few days a week have a quick chat and be done so to me Dillons the main person as its the easiest prospect. |

I don't see Dillon as having the business acumen though. Yes, he can do the creative side but as we saw this week, he is inclined to get carried away with that and neglect the other important stuff.

And there is always new kids who need clothes.
Around here theres plenty of people putting their kids stuff on freecycle etc and you can get big black bags full of the stuff for next to nothing. Obviously if you fancy slapping the new born in some 20k armani thing then thats your problem. |

Here are my views
Alana- Don't think Lord Sugar will be interested in a food based business plan but has the advantage of not being tied down with kids unlike Frances, Grainnie and Jessica. A very young and ambitious candidate Courtney- Has performed well in the series and seems like a nice guy, but having a good track record won't mean anything. Can see Courtney having a poor business plan much like Neil, Roisin and Richard and may fail at the interviews Dillon - A little too quirky for Lord Sugar but winning as PM means that he is definitely a contender. That said he isn't really a leader and lacks business acumen Frances- Was probably the best PM all series, but a little too young and immature compared to past female winners (though admittedly only Leah has won under the new format). Frances's business of kids clothing stores won't interest Lord Sugar and she would find it tough leaving her kid and footballer husband who are up north Grainnie- Maybe a little too similar to Leah to have a shot at winning, however Grainnie has a certain level of maturity and composure that Frances and Jessica don't have. Definitely got a shot of reaching the final Jessica- Has proven business acumen as a business owner, but a little too unstable. I don't think Jessica will handle the interviews well and will crumble Sofiane - The only candidate who will definitely be fired before the interviews. Too much of a loose cannon and unable to work in a team Trishna - Not stood out either way to be honest. Trishna wasn't a great PM, but wasn't bad either and Rebecca definitely deserved to be fired that week. It all depends on the business plan So there are you are. No stand out winner, making this a better series than last year which was a bit rigged in Joseph's favour |

It's fashion led so it requires ordering of stock and that sort of thing that LS does not really want to go into and how many people will possibly pay 50 quid for a babygro given it will be too small in a short while.

Obviously if you fancy slapping the new born in some 20k armani thing then thats your problem. What do you mean my problem - what on earth are you on about ? I am pointing out a simple fact - many parents will - if is their first child - don't give a sod about the price. |
