Is Matt Terry the winner?
Has Matt Terry had The X factor won from day one? or does anyone think that someone else will win?
My theory is that he has topped the voting pretty much all the way through. What do you reckon? |

Probably. I don't think Emily or 5am have what it takes to topple him- they are both a bit niche . Saara could potentially run him close if the producers wanted her to, but I don't think they do.

Yes, he's had the largest fanbase since day 1. Emily is only just scraping through now. Saara still doesn't have enough fans I don't think and how she performs does make an impact. If she gets cheesy songs again, she's going to be in the bottom. I can't see anyone else winning. He deserves it anyways. Good luck to him

As much as I want him to win I think Saara has the competition in the bag. At the beginning of the live shows I would say yes he would have been the winner but at this point of the competition Saara will be the winner as I think she is way more popular and she is leading every poll and everybody loves her

He couldn't have been the most popular every week because a couple of weeks ago Dermot said on the Sunday night: 'the two people topping the vote this week haven't ever been at the top before' or something that basically indicated that at that time Matt (assuming he'd topped it most weeks before that) wasn't top that week. I may have phrased that incorrectly but the gist is there.
Of course they may have been lying for effect, but I can only see that being the case if they are intending not to release the voting stats this year like they normally do. |

Matt had the competition in the bag since the beginning. The whole season has been leading up to a Matt VS 5AM finale.
Neither Emily nor 5AM have any chance against Matt's fanbase, and unless they pull off amazing performances from now on and really have a "moment" (which I don't think they will), they can't win. And as much as I'd love for Saara to win the competition, I don't think she can either, and even if she might have a chance, I'm almost sure that teh TPTB will do what they can to stop it. |

I think there is a very small chance of Saara winning and a big chance of Matt winning. I'd rather Saara because I just enjoy her personality a bit more. They're both gifted singers though.

Matt's bland enough to win.

That's how I feel Virtuoso. If Matt puts in some great performances over that last weekend he should win by rights, but you can't discount him doing something dull/ cheesy/ not strong enough etc, and Saara doing something really powerful with perfect songs and absolutely nailing it, and then she could possibly do it.
It's down to song choices I reckon, whereas in previous years the last couple of weeks hasn't affected who's going to win because the eventual winner has built-up a 60/70% lead by then. I mean, one year the winner had a pretty duff Final through illness didn't they (was it Ben, not singing well on the Saturday night?), but they still won it by miles. It just goes to show that there hasn't been any standout, really amazing singers this time around. Matt can sing and works the stage well, but ultimately he's the strongest of a relatively mediocre bunch, and in other years he'd have been pegged for 2nd or 3rd even. |

When the voting % gets released at the end of the show, their is usually, one person leading it pretty much most of the way through.
The fact that neither Matt or Emily have been in the sing off tells me that they have both been pretty much up their for the whole show. I am surprised about Emily though, especially as she has been pretty bland. Saara has changed the opinions of the GBP, and her performances have probably given her a few more votes that have been enough to stay in the show. However she doesn't have enough of a fan base to carry her past into first place. 5AM have a decent fan base i was surprised that they were in the sing off, not sure if they can win or not at the moment! I am learning that the X Factor always has one person who always has a huge fan base regardless of their performance, they could have a rubbish week and still finish in the top two. In my view as much as id like Saara to win, i can only see Matt coming out on top, that said winning the X Factor isn't necessarily a good move, so in that respect at least Saara could do better out of this even if she doesn't win. |

Matt deserves to win. He's been the best singer in the competition right the way through, and is the most marketable star (given his good looks). He's also got a really nice personality from what we have seen. He hasn't had a bad week throughout his time on the X Factor and has shown he can sing different types of song and also take on some of the hardest songs to sing (eg "The Writing's On The Wall").
I would give 2nd to Emily and 3rd to Saara Aalto. 5 After Midnight have been flat and half-miming for the past few weeks and shouldn't make it past the semi-final stage. They don't have a strong singer in their group. |

Much though I'd like her to win, she was also winning the polls when she ended up in the sing-off those times. Finns vote in the polls but then can't vote in the actual vote. That's why she's done well in the polls all series long.

The lead is alot bigger now than it was in week 2 by a significant margin though, which imo does show some growth in her support in the UK.

Finns were voting in the polls, and now also voting via the app. There are tons of posts online where it's explained how to go about getting the app and setting up an UK based account to be able to vote. Saara's fan pages are posting about it too. This is a fact. So Saara definitely has a chance in winning, she might be well ahead in the votes actually. She's one of the main topics in Finnish media at the moment, and people will be watching and voting this weekend.

They will engineer an Emily 5AM bottom two this week with 5AM going through on a 3:1 vote. Can't put it to deadlock as 5AM will have the least votes.
5AM will finish third in the final, Saara second and Matt as winner. Done. |
