Anyone else noticed the amount of friends articles on the main page? It seems to be one new banal article about it every few days.

"obsessed" and "fake" are two words that have been very, very overused over the past few years.

Add bullied to that list too.

OP - no I haven't noticed DS' 'obsession' with Friends.

Maybe obsessed is a strong word, but there has been about 5 or 6 articles about it in the past two weeks. For a show that has been off air for 12 years, its quite a lot

Really?

The Facebook page do several stories about Friends every week. It's almost as though Hearst management are living on a 20 year delay and haven't noticed the fact it's finished.

Mind. Blown. hashtagtenreasonswhypheobereallyisevilanditstotlly

Noticed this myself.

Though now I'm wondering if these are all new articles as I have noticed before that digital spy will re-post stuff they have already posted before.

My favourite DS clickbait often repeated article (with a changing headline) is the one about 90's TV shows that Are TOTALLY Unacceptable Now.

Men Behaving Badly - Basically Everything. It's so funny as the half wit that wrote it clearly has never even heard of it before, let alone seen an episode. In the wonderful world of Digital Buzzfeed you only need to know the name of something and take your offence from there.

No, it ended 12 years ago. Off air means not being broadcast. Friends, off air?

You're obviously not busy enough to reply though, and then check the thread again and reply a second time.

My guess is the staff are in their twenties and grew up watching the show and therefore love to continue to analyse everything about it for lots o' clicks.

Either that or listening to rumours. Quick google says nothing about a Friends special being aired any time soon. There's always rumours floating about that one will happen though.

Friends is Seinfeld for stupid people. Hence why the hoi polloi of DS love it.
