Did she ? We know that she picked up some pity votes over the not getting a ten but that doesn't make her the best dancer in the competition.

Funny because I see her behind Danny in most polls, and in some Louise is a few voted ahead of her, so she is 3rd in some polls. Although polls cannot be trusted especially after this year. But just look around and ask people who do not use forums, people I know in work all say Danny or Louise are their favourites, some even say Ore, not one of them mentions Claudia.
Claudia will have the forum support just like Chelsea and Kimberly had in their seasons and everyone be saying they will win but eventually losing to Danny. |

I don't know. It feels to me like the show is desperate to push someone as competition to Danny. They've gone from Ore (BEST JIVE EVER) to 'Will Claudia ever get a 10?' (if anything, for me they pushed that slightly too much) but what I felt Claudia W was pushing hardest on Sunday was 'So Louise, you never even thought you'd get to Halloween, did you?' - the Louise story that she's just a super-lovely, cupcake-making, school run mum having a go, and I wouldn't underestimate that.
It's possible that Claudia can turn the momentum from the AT and the salsa into 2 great dances on Saturday and really move up the leaderboard, and right now it feels like that momentum is there potentially, but it's equally possible that 2 dances won't suit her. It generally doesn't suit the non-trained celeb. When she's not good (e.g. jive) she's not good. I think the key thing is if the show and the media allow Louise to pitch herself as the ordinary woman against Danny's training. Then I think Ore and Claudia have had it, whichever gets through Saturday. If Ore or Claudia can present both Louise and Danny as trained and themselves as the best of the untrained, then they might have a chance. |

I think that Claudia is popular because last week she danced to a popular song.
I don't know why people think that they know who is topping the votes. We have no idea what the voting figures are like. For all we know Louise could be beating everyone or Danny might be third in the votes. |

Claudia is gaining more unique shares and views on facebook and twitter... it is good indication of voting figures... number of views is a good reflection of what people really enjoyed watching... entertaining to watch convert to votes... it is not rocket science.
All we can know for sure is who beat who, to a degree public vote wise, from the DO's. |

You're right. It's assumption. I look at many things on youtube that I wouldn't follow up with a vote. Same with liking on facebook etc.

Great post.
Exactly. Claudia is now the most improved dancer remaining, and her and AJ's routines are the most enjoyable as they are the only ones able to dance well AND pull off incredible acrobatic moves during the dance. James-von, take it away with your correlation statistics - you and I seem to be in the minority who understand it is not just a guessing game when it comes to correlating social media with voting. |

Er, I don't think so somehow. Strange that you think that - how many people will watch a youtube video of a couple dancing, just because they recognise a good song being danced to? Very strange concept indeed.

You can't "correlate" anything to the public vote, because you don't know what it is.

You can show the bottom 2 on combined public score and public vote, you can't show the bottom 2 in the actual public vote itself. You still can't "correlate" because you have no actual figures for one half of the equation. I know people here have been (somewhat) accurately predicting Bottom 2s off social media stuff but it's not correlation.

No you dont have to show the actuall voting figure... judges score and how the social media reacted... in relation to who are in bottom 2... of course we do not know the actual voting figure... but you can only work on what data are available... and somehow it accurately came up with the actual bottom 2.

Bloody hell, a drunken amoeba fed solely on a diet of TOWIE and Geordie blinking Shore could have come up with the bottom two last weekend.

All the odds can tell you is that between being regularly placed at the top of the leader-board and bets/money placed, Danny has the shortest odds to win at the bookies.

I think Claudia is 'popular' with those who prefer to support the underdog. It's certainly not her dancing.
Actually the dancing is the very reason I support her!!! As I am sure do many others. Its slightly ridiculous to suggest that she is only popular with people as she is the underdog.... And I personally dont consider her an underdog, thats a title I would have given to Judge Rinder/EdBalls, certainly not Claudia. |

Danny needs to hope that one of the women goes this weekend, as then he will have this in the bag.
Otherwise, he runs the risk that in the battle of the ringers the public vote decide for the third option. Fun fact: Kevin is the only pro left with more then one previous series under his belt and has been for some weeks (with Oksana and Katya being eliminated before that). |
